Hi everyone! Its my first time on this thread, I'm currently 25+2 with a little boy - we have 2 girls already, aged 10 and 7 (bit of a gap!) and they are delighted to be getting a little brother. In fact a boy will be a complete novelty in our family, on my hubbys side he'll be the only boy (my children are the only grandchildren) and on my side my mum has 6 granddaughters and one grandson but he is in Australia. He's going to be very outnumbered but I get the impression he is going to be very spoilt!

I am already fed up with the tshirt and maternity jeans combo but I'm not a fan of trackies! We got back from America a couple of weeks ago (had originally planned to go over the summer but I don't think I'll be allowed near a plane anymore!), we flew back through Newark and I spotted everyone was going through the full body scanner so I explained I couldn't because of the pregnancy and got the body search instead (well, thorough wasn't the word - I swear, hubby hasn't been that intimate in a LONG time!) everything was fine until she found the hideous over bump band of the maternity jeans and asked me if it was my underwear!!!!! :rotfl: I have a nice dress that I'm going to wear for my mums graduation in a couple of weeks, got it in New Look for £8.

Mind you, have spent the last couple of days in my pjs - have tonsillitis and a chest infection so that's completely delightful. My tummy muscles are in agony because of the coughing, DH wanted to bring me to maternity this morning but Wriggler is bouncing away so I know he's fine, its just my muscles protesting.

I don't wish to rain on your parade, but please remember that when your milk comes in your boobs will most likely be HUGE and tender and tummy sleeping will still not be an option for a little while. I'm normally a tummy sleeper and was sooooo looking forward to DS's birth so I could sleep properly and was just gutted that my boobs then stopped me :( But it doesn't last long before things settle down. I just wanted you to be prepared ;)

Personally I'm looking forward to a nice glass of Pimm's and some brie when this little wriggler makes an appearance. :)

Hugs PP. I hope the scan goes well tomorrow. If it is another girl, remind your OH that it's the man who determines the sex.

Today I really must phone the Dr about painkillers. My wisdom tooth decided to play up yesterday and I was in agony with it all evening, but the dentist doesn't want to take it out until after the baby arrives :( If it keeps on happening, I may have to just demand that it comes out.

Damn I knew it was too good to be true haha

    Mmmm Pimms and brie *drool*

Morning ladies; still here... baby is certainly demonstrating a level of stubbornness even at this early stage.

I am ignoring all other forms of communication because if I read one more email/text/phone msg (because I'm refusing to answer the phone) asking "Any news?" I will SCREAM!!! Do you not think I would have shared the news if baby was here??? I even told one friend at the weekend to back off - her response, I'm allowed to ask. !!!!!!!

Had a major melt-down this morning too. It's my mom's birthday, so phoned her to wish her. She'd just had a msg from my sister's OH wishing her and so was all upset - 1st birthday since my sister died - but cheered a little at my call as she wasn't expecting it (I got up super early as the folks are going away this morning and wanted to catch them before they left). My OH - certainly not "Dear" this morning - then refused to speak to my mom to wish her because it "is too early and he has to go to work later". So I had a major melt-down because I miss my sister, would like to be there for my folks but can't, have a husband with the sensitivity of a rhino and I now feel like baby is never going to arrive.

After my melt-down, I calmed down a little and then took a bath where I managed to shave my legs (not even attempted this for months!) so feel a little better now and despite my massive bump, feel a bit more me.

Going to go out for a nice long walk albeit a slow one!

    take care ladies
    Saf xx

Can you not just transfer the call to the person he doesn't like?

I'd keep taking the number and telling the other person to ring them back lol.. They'd soon get the message surely?

I think my main drama is the scan tomorrow.. I am really tempted to say I don't want to know what we are having.. that would remove the stress of it I think.

Sod you're OH finding out...I WANT TO KNOW ;) I want to know if you need to eat your slippers :D And if bounty is right ;)

Gooooooo oooooooon, you know you want to ;)

Well at least you won't have the pain much longer if you go by your normal due dates of 33ish weeks. It's not nice being in pain, but having never had what you have I can't fully understand the pain, but I can guess.
