I am ignoring all other forms of communication because if I read one more email/text/phone msg (because I'm refusing to answer the phone) asking "Any news?" I will SCREAM!!! Do you not think I would have shared the news if baby was here??? I even told one friend at the weekend to back off - her response, I'm allowed to ask. !!!!!!!
Oh I HATED that so much - I went 5 days over with my eldest and was getting phone calls from relatives I hadn't heard from in months asking if baby was here yet. I actually told one 'Yes, baby arrived a week ago but we decided not to tell anyone.' As if you wouldn't share the news your little one is here!!!
When I finally went into labour my mum rang the hospital every 2 hours to find out why baby wasn't here yet (I had appointment in ante natal clinic that morning but was told to keep it in case it was a false alarm so ended up sitting in ante natal clinic having contractions but was kept in when they examined me despite only being 2-3 cms) In the end I told dh to go to the phone and tell her to eff off - I think he was a touch more diplomatic than that!
Hope little one doesn't keep you waiting too much longer xxNorn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -
When I was overdue with DS, I used to respond to email/FB pestering with this:

Tee hee, I like it!
I feel massive too Saffa. Also odds on I'll go over according to mw.
Fingers crossed you'll get a baby soon. And big hug for you speaking to your mum and OH being a sh*t, sometimes it's easy to forget that he'll be stressed / excited too?

Thankyou to everyone who responded to my request for advice a while back. Unfortunately it didnt stop OH nearly losing her mind but it certainly helped some (and made me feel like i was trying to help!)
Baby Amy was delivered by C-section last night, weighing in at just over 5lb, so a really good size for 33 weeks. Mum and baby are doing really well and the bane of the last 7 weeks aka the placenta is in the hospital incinerator or will be shortly!
We're both so glad to have the looming risk of a huge bleed behind us (and the antenatal bay). All in all, through the whole day, OH lost less than 2.5 pints yesterday (including C-section) and with a bit of luck should be out of hospital by the start of next week. DD (woohoo) has a month or so ahead of her before she can come home for good.
So, for any major placenta previa's out there, you have my heartfelt sympathy, especially if you have some early bleeding.
For all the mums (and dads) with recent births, many congratulations. I hope all is going really well.
Saffagal, i hope your little one comes quickly.
For everyone else expecting , best wishes to you all.
Its sunny here and i have a daughter. Its a beauuuutiful day!
Good luck all. God bless :-)0 -
