just popping in to see if anyone has tried pregnancy yoga? I'm definitely considering it but I think I'll be put off by the breathing and meditation stuff.

Isnt that what Yoga is about? :p

Sorry not my kind of thing either way tbh but one class couldnt hurt you wouldnt have to go back! :-)

Whilst Im here does anyone know any good websites for tracking down baby classes? Im in derby if it matters.

I kind of thought my 7month DS was not really old enough to 'socialise' with other kids but when I went for my scan thier was a baby a few months older sitting next to us and my DS just kept bursting into fits of giggles at this baby for no reason whatsoever...the baby was just sitting thier. All four of us parents was laughing at my DS as well! :rotfl:

Im pretty much a loner tbh so havn't felt the need to go for me but I want him to be more outgoing then me so I think I need to get out more for his sake. :o
People don't know what they want until you show them.
  • Hi Penny!!

Wow 5 months already?? How is motherhood treating you? It must be lovely to finally have a little someone in that beautiful nursery of yours :)

I'm only 21 weeks, so still a way to go. baby is due August 22nd. We have our 22 week scan next week so can get confirmation on the flavour. From 2 scans I've had already they think it's a girl, which I am obviously chuffed about. Another boy would be awesome too of course!

Hi - yes the time had flew by I am very much in love with him he is such a good baby.

Good luck for your scan x

On a light note-what changing bag are people getting? Had planned to get a babystyle oyster one to go with my pram but have now had my head turned by Pink Lining ones...eeek

I bought this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kalencom-Fashion-Changing-Medallion-Passion/dp/B004E7M21A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365796557&sr=8-1&keywords=Kalencom+Fashion+Diaper+Bag%2C+Changing+Bag%2C+Nappy+Bag%2C+Mommy+Bag%2C+Coated+Buckle+Bag+%28Medallion+Passion%29 and absolutely love it! I bought it for £13 so feel I have a bit of a bargain! I was offered one of those plain black changing bags that you get free when you buy nappies at the till in Boots the other day - I am glad I have a funky orange one though!:o

On another note - anyone knackered? I have been using Pollyfilla all afternoon filling the gaps that having new skirting has caused! I'm going to gloss a few door frames tomorrow as I have found some low-VOC paint and desperately need to do them before new doors are fitted. My OH is away on a "lads" trip at the moment much to my disgust!

    I have this bag..

Rocketdog weekender bag.. more room than even I can fill. I leave it at home and put a pack of wipes and a couple of nappies in my usual handbag and off we go.. you really do not need half the house in your bag!

Hello! I was on the pregnancy club 24, I'm back as I am pregnant again with my second. Not sure how pregnant I am, I have my 10 week scan booked for the 8th May, I think by then I'll be more than 10 weeks, but the midwife just plucked a date out of the air when I said cycle was all over the place after my 1st daughter.

My DD was 1 yr old on the 25th March and then on the 1st April (I had to pre-empt my DH by saying this is not an April Fools!!) I found out I was pregnant again, purely accidentalish... hadn't been using an protection apart from the withdrawal method as it took over 6 mths of almost continuance DTD to get pregnant the first time so stupidly thought it would be ok as we were hardly ever DTD- sorry if too much info!!

Regarding changing bagsI had a cheapy red Mothercare one which had loads of pockets and it was a handy size, I then bought a Pink Lining Queensdale tote and as much as I love it its not as handy as the Mothercare one, but then I needed the Queensdale one as I use reusable nappies and its huge so it depends what you are using it for.

Regarding the groups as your MW and if you go to any bump groups ask the other mums as I found them a wealth of information about which groups are the best value/best for babies etc :)
    Got married 13/11/10 :)
    DD1 born 25/03/12 :D
    DD2 born 28/11/13 :D

    Welcome back Lola.
No advice on changing bags I'm afraid, got the boring black freebie one from Boots to stick at the bottom of the pushchair, but have a lovely patterned backpack (sort of hand drawn animals, nice and non-gender specific) for the main baby bag.
We're embarking on a risky journey today. We've got 2.5hr journey to a trade fair for OH (his business is only 3.5 yrs old and this only happens every 2 yrs), thankfully near to Mum and Dads, so stopping there for the next couple of nights, then making it back hopefully before baby arrives. Feel like I should be fine, but 38wks on Monday, so we're taking car seat, hospital bag and notes just in case! Knowing you're far from home always makes it a little more risky!
