Just had a phone call from husband saying , that's go to lakeside tonight as he wants to go baby shopping!!! And to cheer me up.
He then say what's wrong with you, so I say you having a go at me about snoring last night, he says he wasn't havin a go at me was just telling me to shut up .
He must of felt bad then:)
Chornola , thanks for the spd advice, I've never had it before , and I didn't realise it's bad x. Maybe I should get my dh to read that aswell, as they just don't understand .
And yah only 1 more official day left! How very exciting!!!
10 more for me:)
Claree sorry to hear about ur awful week, hope it gets better soon xxx
Glad to hear you and DH are sorted. Seriously, they sometimes are just naturally thoughtless and to be fair I do respond differently to my DH when pregnant. Not pregnant I would probably shout back, but pregnant I take it all so personally :rotfl: Have a lovely time shopping and I think dinner out may also help
On the SPD thing, I was also told to clench your bum and tilt your pelvis forward before you sit down. It stops your legs flopping apart when you sit down and also helps strengthen your pelvic muscles. It becomes habit after a while and you don't even think about doing it.
IHateDida - My daughter has Laura Ashley butterflies in her alcove in her room, and the rug and cushions. It is soooo pretty!! Mine was all bought with the 30% or more offers. I love Laura Ashley childrens stuff. She shares with her brother and he doesn't have it in his alcove lol
Claree - Big hugs and at least your mum is home today. I think you did the right thing with the boys - choose your battles carefully. It sounds like your mum needs to address the long term issues with the boys and you shouting would have not made much difference. Foster child plus nearly hormonal teenager can make for a volatile situation, its not about being scaredbut doing what is right at that moment in time.
mrsj28 - Lovely picture! My eldest had a jungle themed room for his first bedroom and I loved it.
Right am off to try and do some tidying so it looks like I have done something at least lol. And then an on-line shop - cannot do a shop myself and its just scary what we end up with when I send my well meaning DH with a list
Have a good day ladies xxxxxx0 -

Thanks for info about Laura Ashely - I want the lampshade next but £25 for a lampshade......I think I will give in eventually but for now I have the mat, wall stickers and cushion! Curtains are a bit too light but I might give in to those as well....!!!!:o
Before I was pregnant (and even in the early days) I swore I wouldn't be sucked into buying overpriced things for the baby's room.... but once you are hormonal and nesting... there's almost no stopping us!!!! *Quietly confesses to spending about £25 on a lampshade in Mamas and Papas last week....*0 -
Hallo Ladies
I'm getting very near the top of the list - though I'd be more than happy for baby to arrive NOW! Waiting has never been my strong suitI had a feeling right from the beginning that baby would be early... looking more and more likely that that feeling was wrong.
I had SPD and although I'd had twinges from 14 weeks, by 24 weeks I was really struggling with driving, stairs, walking, standing... As I work in a team with physios had asked them for advise (which resulted in no change/benefit at all). When I spoke to my midwife she suggested an osteopath; I ended up seeing him twice - around 28 weeks and again at 32 weeks. I haven't needed to see him again and only experience very mild pain when turning over in bed; apart from that I can move about exactly as I could before this pregnancy. so that could be an option to look into.
The past couple weeks though my hands have been going numb/pins and needles if I lie in bed - more annoying than anything else. As I'm sure its related to the pregnancy, I can only wait for bubs to arrive! (Come on baby!)
As for men.... I think my DH thinks I am spending all day sleeping at home; I'm trying to go to bed at the same time as him as if I go before him he wakes me up when he comes up... he seems incapable of getting ready for bed quietly.
Hmmm I don't "need" it but that Ikea chair looks so comfy! Wonder if I can convince DH?
Claree, hope that the weekend starts looking up for you and you get your pay sorted.
All those of us ready for eviction... come on babies! It's due to warm up this weekend - time to join us on the outside!
take care all

ne one else getting lots of stomach ache and period pains at the moment.??0

I have been getting a period type pain "underneath" but not really in my stomach? Maybe the start of something or things just getting ready helen
I also get a strange feeling like I have been over a bump in a car and my stomach is coming back to me?? Can only think that they are BH and it is the relief of my tummy loosening. It is very weirdNever had them with any of the others.
If not, I have no idea what baby is up to in there for you or me!!0 -
I've been getting period like pains on and off with low back pain for a week or so, mw says it is baby moving further down and getting ready to arrive.
Just had my mat pay estimate through from work (only taken 4 months for them to produce it!) and checking over my own calculations I made a stupid error - grrrr could kick myself! I blame it entirely on pregnancy hormones turning my brain to mush

Agreed to take double pay next week with £50 compo from the company, admitted it was his fault and I actually felt a wee bit sorry for the guy - he kept apologising! Anyway - thanks to the fact I've been saving like mad I have a wee bit extra in my account that will tide us over for the week.
OH seems a bit happier in Hamburg this afternoon and my mum's flight has landed so should be home soon. Think I'll stick about for the afternoon though to avoid going home to an empty house.
I picked up my ebay pram yesterday - £65 I gave the guy (won for £62 but had no change!) for a pram, carry cot, car seat (attaches to the pram) and car seat base. Absolute bargain! It's this one if anyone's had/seen it/got any opinions? My Debt Free Diary

With the SPD - one thing I got shown by a physio to do when doing things like being about to get up from sitting down and walk across the room (which would usually be accompanied by a cloud of obscenities as the pain hit) was to stand and alternately raise each foot onto tiptoes for a few seconds before moving (it kind of looks like you're doing the moonwalk only standing still) to warm the joint up - it really did help (reduced the cloud of obscenities to a mild haze)... the other one I found that worked was standing in the shower and sticking alternately my backside and front pelvis out to get the warmth of the shower - this one gets a bit harder to do as space gets limited with a growing bump and if you're doing it - lock the door so you don't have to explain why you're doing naked hula hoop impressions waving yer backside around.
Other than that - I broke one buggy using it to help bear my weight and the good buggy's got one creaky wheel as a result (only been waiting 5 months for hubby to oil it)... support belts and tubigrip help a bit but I hit the point where I was wearing so much elastic I felt if I sat down too quickly I'd caterpult myself off into orbit.
Pelvic Partnership has some good info - and make sure you make it clear as crystal on your birth plan that you have it - it affects things like if they're going to get stirrup happy and the like - the first birth they flung my legs around like crazy and didn't take any care at all and it took me much longer to recover than the second birth where when they had to take me in for a spinal anasthetic (they did both times - my placentas get stuck good and proper) they couldn't have been more careful with not pulling my legs too far apart or anything.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
