Ah that's pants Bamama, is it because of the thrush that they are keeping you in?

Congrats to all the new parents! (quite a few since I last posted) and I hope things are going well for Rups!

My baby has started some proper kicking over the past week or so - my husband has felt lots of movement now. We went to see The Hobbit last week and baby enjoyed the fight scenes and was trying to join in. We were at my parents for Christmas and I picked up my copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar while I was there - I've read it to the bump already, his first bedtime story! :D

No Queen_B, they are completely unconcerned by the thrush. Have a prescription for a liquid and cream to treat it.

We are just waiting on the MRI report now. Hopefully tomorrow we should be leaving! Unless they find another reason to make us stay...

yes queen_be there is the chance, but she apparently has been like this for a while and my bump is rather small for how far i am , i think she is well confortable, hidding like my MW says, thats why my bump is not very big, her position.
On friday i have a scan so i dont want to put my hopes up just in case i have to have a C section, dont want to stress over nothing and if the placenta is fine, in my birth plan i will write.
    YES epidural.
    YES injection to deliver placenta.
Yes to skin to skin as soon after the birth.
No, i will not have a shower shortly after delivery.
    The shorter the better lol

  • Hi ladies!! Had a long lie in this morning after being awake til about 3 am. I did my walk at 12 and walked for about 45 mins - an hour and was absolutely exhausted afterwards so am hoping tonight ill sleep much better. I intend to get up early tomorrow to prepare me for being back at work Friday and try and walk again tomorrow. I think I'll aim for 4 times a week then I can do 2 on a weekend and twice after work if I can .
Lovely to hear rups baby is here.. Should imagine waiting once the due date has gone is so hard.. I have hardly any patience at the best of times!!

Oh yeah.... second time my pee's tested positive for protein - this time they've sent a sample off to the hospital for proper testing. Blood pressure still resolutely normal, but obviously after having one spontaneous preemie... there's more than a little element of concern there!

Dewi is all mine for the night! I've been allowed to wheel his cot into my room. He had a half hour feed that started half 9 and we did get a 5 hour sleep last night so let's hope he'll do it again. No doubt I'll get less sleep listening out for him but I'll have to get used to it!

Rups hasn't replied since this afternoon so I hope that means Kung fu bubba is here :)

Sorry for not posting sooner, but a baby, Christmas and New Year happened!

Baby Hotbern (no name as undecided between two still!) arrived VERY quickly, with little or no warning, on Friday December 21st, 8 days overdue.

He was born on the stairs, after being in labour for an hour, with only 5 minutes pushing (sorry everyone else!) and was delivered by paramedics.

Yet I still had to go to hospital to have an epidural AFTER the birth which is typical :rotfl:

Will post on birth stories when sufficiently awake enough to type without deleting every second letter because I've typed the wrong one!
