Midwife came today for day 5 visit and weighted my lo, she's lost 14% weight, which meant we had to put her on formula. I just want to cry, I feel really bad I wasn't producing enough milk and that was the reason she kept asking for milk so often and dud not sleep very well. I just feel they've taken a bonding experience from me. I tried to bf afterwards in the following feed as advised, but she completely ignored the breast. I've tried to express to give her that, but I'm suddenly dry At least the peaceful face of my lo was priceless when she finally got some food. But i still feel bar

Hi everyone.

Baby Aida was born yesterday at 13:45 and she is a happy healthy baby. Her weight was 8.4 lb which was a very nice suprise as we thought she will be a small baby:D.

The birth was a positive experience and at the moment we are still in hospital but tomorrow we can go home :j.

Rups, definitely try tens for backache. It's one of the few things that helped mine. Paracetamol and hot bath didn't work, and as I laboured too quickly for other painkillers and felt little effect from G&A, tens did take some of the edge off.

Hi morocha!

I have Asda's nipple cream. It seems to be ok.

I've been having issues with his latch. Mw spent an hour with me yesterday and we worked on what Joel needs to do. He's an awkward little man and squirms so much. I was also assuming that he'd finished feeding so wasn't giving enough time for him to remove himself from my breast. Not doing too badly though; he's only lost 3% of his birth weight.

On third feed for tonight and I think he's out for the count now

Marta - *hugs* don't feel downhearted, sounds like you did everything you could... it just wasn't meant to be. I'd ask your midwife about your supply, she may have some suggestions.
As long as you are both fit and healthy that is the main thing! *hugs tighter*

Afm - I've become all weird and realised how close I am to my date. Well aware I can go over but feel like I should take the opportunity to say some things...
I want to thank you all for being here. It's so great to have a place where I can get my questions answered and get things off my chest. I've loved every minute I've spent reading your stories and updates, would probably have gone mad without them! We may not have had it easy but at least we have each other
I fully intend to stick around so will see you all in the other forum anyway :P and I will still be around to check on the rest of the girlies on the list and offer what advice I can.
