Well waters went at 7pm just had midwife out - 1cm dilated now so have 24hrs to establish labour before they send me off to be induced. Although there are apparently no spare slots so will probably be my original 9am Sat slot if it gets to that! Have been feeling period type pains where my BH are normally painless so hope things get moving!
Go savage :j:j plenty of jumping and bouncing please. Mine have really cranked up so just waiting for night shift MW to attend. Hopefully we both get the birth we want despite the waiting x
Good look GISI for tomorrow too. Congrats to mlbarrett and marta0 -
Yay!!!!!! Congrats Marta
hope you recover quickly
:j :j:j yay savage and jonno! All our positive vibes mist have workedgood luck ladies
I need positive vibes now please! At least a tiny bit of progress to make a sweep work that's all I'm after
GISI very best wishes and best if luck for tomorrow X0 -
mushypeas - I have had spd and sciatica with all of my other babies and have it now with this one - started about 12 weeks with this one. I agree with dizziblonde I have had the brace, etc none of them are great and obviously crutches etc are out this time with 3 other kids to look after - littlest still uses a buggy. I was pregnant by the time my middle child was 6 months, so that was difficult too. I actually find it easier to walk with the buggy as you can lean on it but do have to be careful up and down kerbs and stuff.
When I am induced I walk but make sure my husband is with me and I use him as my prop- he has his uses.
As for the clunking sound - it makes my DH actually wretch and he is not a squeamish person at all. It is scary and I did think there would be lasting damage, but it did disappear quite soon after the first 2 births, but did take longer and a couple of physiotherapist sessions after my last one.
If you can't manage walking, at least try standing or maybe leaning over a birthing ball - anything to help gravity really!!!
You will be fine, but talk to your MW if you are worriedxxx

Evening ladies.
Congratulations to all who have given birth in the last couple of days - yay we had a 12/12/12 on here!
Due today, but nothing. At my 40 week midwife apt, she suggested I book in next week for a sweep with a possibility of induction on the 26th. Let's hope it doesn't come to that! With my 5yr old I was one day over, so let's see what tomorrow bringsJune 2009 - Wii; December 2009 - Fortnum & Mason Hamper; 2009 - Little Red Tractor DVD; How to afford time off work book; April 2010 - Mamas & Papas Pram; May 2010 - Imperial Leather Goodies; Jan 2011 - Trivial Pursuit cards; Narnia goodies; VTech cot mobile (stopped comping!) Nov 2011 - Kiddicare cotbed.0 -
Well I've been up away since 4 am so gave in 10 minutes ago so DH can sleep and have come into the lounge for some toast and hot water.
chonorla thanks for the guidance about SPD, makes me feel a bit betterThe lying > sitting bit is the worst, but I think I just have to keep telling myself that my pelvis isn't going to completely come apart! Anyway, it's only been so bad I can't walk since Monday and by next Wednesday I'll be in hospital being induced so not long really. I shouldn't complain, you're all amazing for having this and coping when you've got little ones as well
I'm not sure about using a birthing ball. I ended up on the labour ward on Friday all day in a room where you'd give birth and it wasn't very big - I can't image all the consultants fitting in and me + birthing ball!!
Wish I could speak with my MW, but she's been rather uselessShe never returns my calls or text messages and it took her 4 weeks to contact physio department for me in first place, I should have just done it myself... I know she's really busy and because I'm seeing a consultant every 10-15 days she knows I'm in safe hands. But he's so busy too and specialist in a certain area, not really going to talk to him about the whole birthing side of stuff! Hey ho, not long now
I'm going to see if I can amend the list and add my new date, fingers crossed it works this time!

Yeah I've managed to make two buggies have a massive squeaky wheel issue with putting my weight onto them - found if I use our big "can be a double" one it's much heavier framed so I can use it as a crutch substitute much better!
I've got the grinding feeling this time that I didn't have last time - gawd that's awful - it's like nails down a chalkboard but in your crotch!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Howdy all, fingers crossed for savage, money penny and jonno plus Congrats Marta, how exciting, it's all go around here at the mo!
Managed to snooze til nearly 11 which is very good for me so feeling refreshed, going swimming in a mo so I will also feel virtuous!!! No signs at all here anymore but as I am not due for another 2.5 weeks I can't really complain
Have a good day ladies and will catch up again later, bet there will be more births! XDFW Nerd #1310 -

Afternoon ladies. been catching up on posts!
a huge congrats to you Marta. Sorry to hear nothing went to plan, but you still did it and you have your little one.yay!! enjoy the cuddles and also have your rest and speak to you when you are ready. xxxx
good luck savage and jonno and GISI. hope all goes to plan darlings. seems like you will see your little ones very very soon. xxx
sorry to hear about others having pain.it must be horrid for you girls. hugs. xxx
i was going to ask actually as it seems day by day that i may be along the routes of a sweep or induction?? not sure but it feels like that. MW looked at me and said it seems like either i will give birth on the due day (in 10 days time - eek) or go full full time so till 41 weeks? i didnt think getting induced (once you reach there) was such a bad thing, so why is everyone so cautious of that?
i woke up late, couldnt sleep thanks to my cold. then i woke up so sweaty and hot iw as worried i was dehydrated so sat up in bed trying to feel movements and then went back to snooze at around 9. could sleep more. my throat just feels yuck.
hope everyone else is ok. i am number 10 now. eek!!Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
Little Kung fu bubba due on the 24th of December 2012. :j
