Hey welshgirl. Think most of us are having a hard time. Suppose the stress of baby's and Christmas...

I'm classing myself in the "3 weeks left" lot. I live in hope that Squirmy will make an appearance before Christmas but I am aware that it could be as late as the 3rd Jan... I think if I have to go down the induction route they will do it sooner rather than later here.

I know, I'm sure I wouldn't be half as bothered if Christmas wasn't bang slap in the middle, it's hard to make plans but we are trying to act as normal, just don't really want to go into labour 3 hours away!

Hey ho, at least the presents are bought, now need to wrap!

quick updste ladies. i will try and read back.

went to the midwives and now urine has glucose and protein so that urine sent off and will wait for midvies to call me with results. these results made the mw question me about whether i had seen my mucus plug and i said not yet and asked whether easy to miss, and she said yes.. so we came on waters.. i said waters havent broken but always seem to have wet pants so she has sent me off to the labour ward to get that checked out as she suspects that i am leaking.eek! she said not to rush DH back from work so am waiting for him before we can head off there shortly. they will check is leaking and if so, well lets see. hpefully post back later or after whatever happens! xxpray for me. iam scared. xx

Don't be scared, sweetheart! Nothing bad is happening. Waters often trickle away in the last few weeks. Glucose in your urine's incredibly common in pregnancy and protein is likely if you've got an infection (which I think you have haven't you from reading earlier posts).

Worst case scenario... you give birth tonight (and would that be so bad?). Other than that, you'll just get sent home after a long and boring evening sat on a hospital bed doing nothing

We put up our Xmas tree and decs today so starting to feel festive!

Still feeling a lot of pressure low down and also had pulsating on and off today, anyone else had this? Can't decide if its baby hiccups, blood pumping around or something else??

I went to the midwife, she said my bleeding was normal and did a sweep. She said my cervix is already getting shorter and for what she gestured is now quite short, I only have a bit more to go before is flat. I'm opened around a cm, she managed to put a finger.and touch the baby's head. Afterwards I had some more bleeding, which again is normal, and I am having random heavy cramping, maybe contractions, I'll figure it out if they finally follow a pattern, my mw said that they feel so different for different women that she could not tell me how they would feel like for me, only that they will be stronger than any cramping I felt so far and they'll increase in regularity.

I now have to wait, if the sweep worked, I'll go into labour within 48h, if not, I have an appointment at hospital next Tuesday to discuss induction for Thursday.

yes.... 3 sessions of acupuncture so far too. And I'm not up to curry or pineapple as they are both too acidic and I'll just be so miserable even if they do work!!

Sweep appointment tomorrow again... so we'll see what gives then. *sigh*. Hopefully she can do a sweep this time, last time cervix wasn't playing along.
