  • Morning All - How we all doing today - hope everyone managed some decent sleep, even Bamama (although it may have been out of sync)

No change here, bit more of a show but that's about all. Don't anticipate anything happening here today (although a 12-12-12 baby would be lovely :D) so off to hospital it will be tomorrow. I must try and paint my happy face on as I know it is not their fault I'll be miserable :o

Just waiting to see if the midwife is going to ring, but, if I haven't heard by about 9 ish, I'm going to pop to shops and PO with DH and spend some quality time with him. :)

Have a good day everyone :D

Morning everyone, gosh this thread is moving fast :-) I was lurking yesterday but feeling very down in the dumps so didn't post.

Feel a bit brighter today, got very upset about things and talked through with DH so I feel better getting it out of my system, IYKWIM? It's going to be hard though, as Walnut will need an op when born we're going to have to come home from hospital without them and I'm dreading that part :(

Can't believe this time next week I'll be in hospital due to be Induced on 19th - if I make it that far! Belly getting really big again.

I can't remember everyone's names - but I think Braxton Hicks are different for everyone. Yes to the rest, my belly feels hard a lot too but I find lying down helps.

Stressful week here, hubby now also house hunting near where he works (hour and a half away from here) as we want to move early January - gosh we are trying to do a lot at the moment!

Right, back to online house hunting - rentals are soooo expensive where we're move to.

Happy 'birth' days to those due or overdue and welcome to newbies!

P.S. Would amend list but last time I tried it didn't work - think it's because I'm on Safari??

Yes, bamama, I was fine, I stay up until around that time everyday, I'm in bed but read the news, check the email, play sudoku, etc; until I fall sleep.

Quick question: with tmi!!! I have some bleeding, when I wiped this morning I had something similar to pre-period spotting but maybe not as liquid, thicker. Is this it? I don't have contractions, how soon in advance do you usually get this?

  • Might get the date. Contracting all night, with bloody show and now loss of plug.

    It's flipping painful...

Lol, now we all start to race for the date!!! Hahaha
Good luck mlbarret!! I don't think I'll make it today, I had no contractions of any kind. I have an appointment at 3:30 with the midwife, it was for.a sweep but she.might not need to now, I'll ask her what.she thinks. The books say the bloody.show are some specks or streaks in the mucous, but I had much more than that. That said, the books also say implantation bleeding is some spotting, and I bled for two-three days.as with a light period, so maybe I'm just a bloody woman, lol!!

Marta - I would ring the midwife or labour ward just to check that the amount of blood is OK, as you say you might just be a bleeder but it would do you no harm just to double check with someone that that is OK.
  • Mushy - Has your midwife or anyone at the hospital spoken to you about how you might feel about leaving Walnut (cute name!) in the hospital whilst you come home? Sure they must have some support in place for new parents - they might be able to help you get through it. I'm sorry you have to go through it :( Walnut does sound very lovely already though :)
  • Thanks ladies. Would be quite happy not to queue jump if it meant I could have some sleep. Been awake all night, LRI told me to wait for mw appt this afternoon as they think it might take a few days yet.
