Well, I've finally manned up & had my whooping cough vaccine. I called today expecting to get in next week sometime & she got me in after work today! When I walked in the nurse was lovely & said I was very 'elegantly pregnant' and that my scarf really set my dress off I only have a dark purple jersey fitted midi dress & a fuschia pink pashmina scarf on with black tights & flat pumps! And then asked how many weeks I am, I said '33 tomorrow' and she just looked at my bump, looked back at me with that face that says 'really?!?' and I said, I know it's big then explained he is apparently measuring big according to the last scan I'm curious how far gone she thought I was!

My arm doesn't feel too bad, just a bit achy & sore. DH is looking after me & is cooking for tea so that's nice He's even going to share a shower with me in a bit & wash my hair for me so I don't have to hurt my arm I think he's one of the few men who still find their wife sexy whilst they're pregnant! I thought he'd go completely off me but he's not at all which has been interesting seen as I've not been feeling my usual sexy self I've definitely started to feel less & less like my sexy self, my waist has obviously completely disappeared now which has been tough to deal with seen as I was a definite hourglass before having worked hard to lose 3st & tone up before getting pregnant I'm sure I'll get back to myself after Bean arrives & I'm liking the prospect of any baby weight dropping off after the birth with breastfeeding as I'm definitely hoping to breastfeed when Bean arrives! My only real worry is my boobs going completely to s**t as they're my favourite part of my body, quite big at a 36E pre-pregnancy (although only a 36F currently) & if they disappear I'd be worried I might fall apart mentally & not feel like myself as bad as it sounds

oh mrs_b hope it does not give u a sore arm. In the boobs front i can not help, i am a 34 b and even breastfedding i was that and never grew bigger, maybe a bit fuller and unconfortable, and after BF for 10 months they just went to the way they were. Remeber to use a good bra tho.

Bamama, i do not think you would have a trouble, obviously ur body is preparing for it, so be happy you already have lots lol..

mushypeas, what a cheeky doctor ehh !...as long as baby is putting weight on i guess there is nothing to worry about... i was worried i was putting too little on, never mind if i was losing i think i would have been shocked.
But i guess i had a growth spurt and look a bit bigger tho i am still not hungry at all, this pregnancy is really different.

hello all..
right my cold has come through and i feel rank and feeling sorry for myself like i have man flu lol.

dh has gone to kung fu and there is washing up in the sink but i cant be asked so he has to come back and do it. i have to make myself dinner and i just want to cry.. my eyes feel a bit weird and burning. thankfully no fever but just sore throat. thiknk i better dose up on paracetamol after dinner. thankkfully the heartburn has gone.

i havent finished the xmas tree. meh.. have however put the baby clothes into the wardrobe and stuff so feel good about that. i might do a bt of the tree and better unpack some packages that are piling up in the kitchen.. rest? what rest? lol.

mrs b well done for getting the injection.. it hurts the arm doesnt it? i was sore for 3 days and then it just went. hope yours recovered quickly. your dh is so sweet. i know what you mean about the b00bs.. i have huge ones and when i met dh they were huge, hope they dont completely go. lol. sometimes now he will just grop them and i tell him off that he doesnt even give the belly that much attention or in bed he just tells me lift your top up and let me see them lol. stupid men. lol.

ok better get going. sigh.. feed me someone...:(

I hate to bring bad news, but I didn't find that the weight fell off when I breast fed :eek:. It did help the weightloss, but to actually lose weight I did have to watch what I ate and limit the biscuits and nibbles! I did love BFing though and looking forward to doing it again.

I had a mini-sweep today, but not good news for my VBAC. MW said baby's head isn't where it should be so is not exerting the necessary pressure and cervix is still tight and high. This is what happened with DS1 so it looks like I will be going for an elective CS this time as I have decided not to try induction. A bit disappointed, but ultimately I just want to see my baby. Should get a CS date on Wednesday at my consultant appointment.

ah sorry about the sweep got it spend it. like you said you will see your baby soon hon. hope things start up for your quickly though. Thanks for your message. am still feeling sorry foy myself lol. have cooked a chickpea and spinach curry. dont feel like eating it. just fancy bad stuff.

Just realised we'd not had a list for a while unless I'd missed it - has Aida been on?

Anyway, GISI - sorry to hear about your mini sweep. I had one today although she couldn't sweep either, but my cervix was 'soft and posterior'. I've been doing an awful lot of walking to try get pressure on the cervix though so a bit disappointing that it's not sweepable yet! Another one on Thursday then induction on Saturday it seems.

Had some more acupuncture today; and will have again Weds and prob Fri. Hopefully that works as I really don't fancy induction!

Wow, savage you are patient, i hope I can manage to be so serene if i am in your position

I am already thinking, oooooo is this the start of something, lots of Braxton hicks and fanny daggers but I know it is dangerous to start imagining anything with potentially 5 weeks to go.... as ever I am secretly hoping the baby comes for Christmas. I had clary sage in the bath last night and dh was freaking out in case the baby was to early (37 weeks tomorrow) I am trying to convince him it will not be an instant effect!!!

Morocha, sorry for everything you are going through, stay strong and don't make any decisions at the mo, just think about you. Mushy peas that fluid sounds crazy!! Well done on the jab Mrs b.... my DH is not getting any sexy time at the mo but is being very good about it, think he still like me though and he def likes the bump, it is sweet and as time gets closer he is even more into taking to baby and feeling all the movements

Good luck boldies!!! When you all give birth i will be top 10!
