Yep. Got my hopes up a little Neph. I blame OH for forcing me to sit down (I was pacing which was annoying him).

Good night girlies. I'm gonna have some vienetta now ^^ brought OH's presents down as he wanted them under the tree. He was surprised how many there are and asked what I've been buying XD. There's nothing expensive there. I wrapped the baubles I got and left the strings out so they are hanging ready to be unwrapped Christmas day :)

    Congrats on your EDD mlbarret!!
I'm having light cramps, but nothing else, it feels.more as if baby's head is just pushing down instead of proper cramps though. I keep falling sleep suddenly in the middle of the day, I think my bump has dropped a bit but it can well be wishful thinking to be honest!
DH has put the tree up and all the decorations. I'm still unsure on what to buy him though, I have a few things but I do not feel they are enough, I miss "the" present, I think, I always try to have one present that is better than the rest and he wants, but this time I have no clue and no money!!! :(
My MIL might come for Christmas day which I think it's great, we will have some help with the baby and I'll be able to do the cooking, DH has volunteered to do it though, but I like doing it, so I think it will be a team effort. I seem to have taken over the kitchen's territory as my own, at least in my brain, and I now find it difficult to let other people do stuff there! It's my fault and I should relax about it, otherwise in 15 years time I'll be complaining that no one cooks but me, and I'll be the one to blame!

Rups, have you tried to play that game with.your DH? I must admit I'm a fan of computer games and I play often on my own, but I also find they are a fun way to do something with DH. Sometimes we take it in turns, sometimes we do it together, sometimes we just comment on each other's game.

Nephtys, I hope you find some relief, I can't imagine what.it is like, I only have pain on the muscle around the hip but I find relief with a hot water bottle, so idk what it is like that kind of pain.

On the body issues and sexiness I guess every man and woman is different. I will certainly try to go back in shape, but I know DH won't see me differently if these marks don't fade or I can't lose all this weight. Every time I complain, he reassures me and insists I should not be silly, I should be proud of what I'm doing and I'm beautiful. I've decided not to complain now, I don't want to convince him of the contrary!!! Lol I know I'm still sexy for him, even though I do not feel like it, and the bump is more of a problem for me than for him with regard to intimate time, I just cannot concentrate with the baby poking and kicking all the way through!! But there's always alternative stuff that can be done for both of us or just him if you do not feel much like it. Rups, since you are reading that book, you could choose some scenes to read out to him whilst "cuddling" iykwim..., talking naughty stuff can help with feeling sexy if you accompany it with the voice and some looks...

I had lots of stretch marks when I got into my teens, all on my hips. They faded eventually but it took quite a long time. It's possible, though, and nowadays there are some treatments that help the process if you see that it's much of a problem. Some laser treatments apparently help with the broken collagen, they are not cheap, probably talking £600-£900 there, idk, but you could put a bit on the side for a couple of years and treat yourself afterwards if you think it's a big issue. For those who like tanning of any kind, they will be easily covered once they lose the deep purple colour. I think I'll be fine with creams, exercise and losing the weight. I'm not too bothered at the moment with the marks, although I only have purple ones on my sides, one or two inches long, and a couple if tiny specs around the belly button that I hope stay like that. If they fade after a few months, then it won't be that bad. And in any case, my DH better love me as a.person and not as a body, because I'm only going to get older!! I'll try to keep in shape and all that, but I've never been into a lot of beauty routines, I'm used to have little or no make up (except special occasions or when I need a mood boost up, but even then it means eyeliner+lipstick +maybe blush), no tan, no eyelashes, no nails, a bit lazy on the shaving sometimes, some hairy arms and big hips!! He does not mind and I think he appreciates that I'm not too obsessed, so I'm going to assume he can also see through some stretch marks!!

  • Hi ladies!

Had the most awful night's sleep as DD wouldn't sleep so in the end brought her in with me and ended up really uncomfortable as didn't want to roll on her :(

Feels like everything getting on top of me ATM, I know I shouldn't complain as other people have it worse (hugs Morocha ), but am guessing a lot of it to do with hormones?

Had bleeding a few weeks back and they decided something wrong with cervix and were worried in case it was cancer :( looks like it isn't but they still want to keep an eye on it so worried in case it turns into anything.

Also my mum was due to help after have baby but has broken her leg! So now she's likely to be still in plaster so wondering how we will manage, OH says we'll be fine but he works really long hours so worrying about how to cope on my own with baby and DD :(

Sorry for a depressing start to the day! I put on about two stone plus baby last time I was pregnant and lost that sat on the sofa breastfeeding afterwards, and that's without changing diet!

And as for body issues and sexiness, there's quite a few of us expecting baby number two (or more) so OH's must still find us sexy :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great day x x
  • Morning All. Hope everyone is ok :) I'm rather grumpy too I'm afraid. Just had a phone call from the community midwife to say they have an appointment to come and see me today but don't know why  how difficult is it to communicate between a team of about 4 women !!!!!!. When i told her she said, oh, sorry, won't be able to come today, were too busy. So I said, what if I go in to labour today, you wouldn't be able to come then for my home birth. And she was just like err, probably not. But she'll call tomorrow - great :( Worst of it all was she just kept giggling on the phone, stupid woman.

I woke up feeling all positive and now I'm not in the space of a couple of hours.

Think I'm going to write my cards, take them to the post office and then out for some retail therapy - or curl up under the duvet may be a better option :o

Labour vibes to all who are boldies - except me obviously as I now need to wait until tomorrow which will be last chance saloon anyway before induction :(:(
  • Morning all, sounds like a few of us are feeling rubbish at the moment. I am so sore this morning, I can barely walk. Hope it eases off after a shower.

moneypenny- I knew I didn't want to be induced this time right from the start, as I had a distressing experience of it last time. Yesterday just confirmed that for me, and as I've had a previous section I'm not comfortable with going too far over my due date as it does increase the risks of rupture. Having said all that, I know loads of people who have had great induction experiences and gone on to have very straight forward labours, so it is so hard to say. I just know that it didn't have the desired effect on my body so I don't want to put myself and my baby through it again. Big hugs though and fingers crossed things kick off for all the boldies really soon.

jonno-that MW sounds like an absolute idiot. The would definitely come to you if you went into labour- they would just have to cancel their other commitments. Sorry you're not getting your appointment today though.

Surely with all the boldies on here we will have at least one 12/12/12 baby!
