  • I came across TEXTBROKER, and after going through its elegant offer, I registered today itself, but still sticking about how to present the preliminary topic to look more inviting.
  • It looks like Text Broker are having a few problems with new users.

My sample has been with them for 8 weeks now and they have gone from 4 weeks delay to 6 weeks delay to "we are no longer reviewing submissions".

so either they have been massively oversubscribed, or they are simply not taking anyone on at the moment.
    Signaller, author, father, carer.
  • I love TB too. They provide some awesome rate.

... probably because there's not enough work to keep the current authors/writers busy ....

  • New to this site, so sorry if in wrong thread/post. I'd like to sign up for textbroker, but search always returns the message "there is a problem with this site's security certificate" and "security certificate was issued for a different website's address". Recommends to close the page. I emailed report to MoneySaving, and had acknowledgement, but textbroker still being suggested as legit. Any advice, please? Thank you.

I've been doing work for Textbroker for 18 months, after seeing it recommended by other users on this forum. They are a legitimate site, they pay out for work done. Not sure why you are getting a problem, I'm not getting the same security warnings that you have described.

Seems to pay an absolute pittance in comparison with the rates paid for freelance articles for magazines etc (upwards of £100 for 1,000 words - double that in many cases), so worth considering taking your writing more seriously if you are genuinely good.

Yes, but there's no guarantee that what you write for magazines will be accepted. So a lot of your time will go on work which never gets used and you never get paid for, plus all the time you spend submitting the stuff that doesn't get accepted.

I've never had a TB article rejected outright.
  • Guess I'm just stuck waiting till they take on new writers which is a shame as I'm quite good.
