TB is probably in the worst slump I've ever seen. I've been waiting for it to pick up for months now and it's just bits here and there.

My comment was in reference to the fact that I only joined 4 weeks ago (as explained in my previous post) and therefore had never experienced the higher volumes of work that more seasoned users would have.

I am starting to feel slightly attacked here...

  • I think Nymph was perfectly clear.

I have already had two DirectOrders come to me from my first three articles. The second one is an ongoing series of DOs. Textbroker went ahead and assessed me on the first four articles despite the fifth still awaiting acceptance, because I told them I was at risk of losing my second DO client if they didn't unlock me. So it's obviously a different experience for everybody, unless newbies (like Nymph and I) tend to get a few DOs just because we are new to the clients.

Anyway, it sounds like the fabled 5* is pretty unattainable, so I'll just see where it goes.

Is anyone still textbrokering? I've restarted as part of my £10 a day in January challenge. I've picked up 4 articles from the main pool, quite pleased with this. No articles left now though, maybe will be some more on Monday.

I did have a client asking about a direct order the other day but he didn't get back to me. I did a lot of work for him a while ago so hope he gets back in touch.
  • I submitted my test article on Friday. Any ideas how long I can expect to wait before I hear anything? Looking forward to getting started with the site, I've heard good things! :)

I submitted my test article 17th December and I am still waiting.
I am not surprised though to be honest with the festive season and everything.

I think it can take a couple of weeks. Some people have found that if they 'reminded' the people at Textbroker that they were waiting, they got approved more quickly.

I'm still at it! Seems to have picked up over the past few days so I'm aiming for 1 or 2 articles a day again. I'm sure I'll be back complaining about the lack of articles in no time though :)
  • It's still working for me, I have a couple of repeat DO clients and I had a great bunch of OOs in November that involved writing longish essays on 'intellectual' topics - which is much easier than lots of short articles, I find!
