Fiverr is also great for this kind of freelance work!0

I tried this earlier on this year and in a couple of months made £40, but this was all on "penny a word" 300 word blog posts etc. Now whilst I can knock one of those out in less than half an hour, I found I was spending another hour polishing it until I was happy, meaning I was making about a couple of pounds an hour from this.
I tried to get on some of the Teams, but I only got one acceptance (the others didnt even respond) and the one that accepted me has never sent me any work, so I've given it up as a waste of time.if i had known then what i know now0 -
Have you tried Fiverr or People per Hour?0

Is anyone still using textbroker? I signed up last week, got in at a 4* and have hit the five assignment mark now so I'm twiddling my thumbs.
I can see that the price per word soars when you get to that fabled 5* mark so it's worth me hanging in there and trying for it.
Just wondered, if anyone else is 4 and especially 5*, what they set their DirectOrder price at?MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043 :eek: aiming for May 2028
14 August 2017 - Refinanced: $220,000
January 2019 $211,580 Current MFD 31 June 20360 -
I have been making around £25-£35 a week on textbroker at 4*, though I have only been at it for 4 weeks this week. What times are you all logging in at? And no idea about the 5* rating personally, I'm okay being 4* for the moment as I'm making enough just from two hours or so 3/4 days a week.
Maybe we can compare log in times to see whether there are times when work is more abundant?Sell 100 Items Challenge: 7/100

Doesn't matter, because direct orders seem to be even rarer than team orders .....0 -

Today's quote of the day from Forbes magazine, funnily enough;

I've been stuck at 4* with 400 + submitted articles for well over a year now, so I wouldn't hold your breath for 5*! I keep meaning to email them and ask them about the criteria for 5* just to see if I can make any changes. Ho hum.
Yeah, Direct Orders are few and far between so I wouldn't worry about the price. In all honesty, I've noticed that most clients seem to use TB for a few articles and then disappear. There's very, very few who use it regularly. Those who do post orders frequently use the teams and they have their own prices already set.
TB is probably in the worse slump I've ever seen. I've been waiting for it to pick up for months now and it's just bits here and there. I've never noticed more orders being posted at a specific time, but I usually manage to grab mine between typical working hours (8am and 6pmish!). Honestly though, I've seen them pop up in the middle of the night so it's worth refreshing whenever you can.
I do have a feeling it's on its last legs, thoughIt was a nice little earner for me, especially during these months last year.

Nice to see some good team spirit around here. Good luck with your text brokering :T
Perhaps coming in as a newbie it doesn't seem as bad, I haven't experienced a time where there were higher levels of work than there are presentlyI find afternoons better than mornings, I have also had two DO's in the last week after doing some wedding articles, it's probably luck of the draw.
I'd hope it could get better though, there are a few times of day when I log in and there's only a few jobs ups so more work could only be a good thing!Sell 100 Items Challenge: 7/100
