Garage are still messing us around with getting the new car, have had to phone up our insurance company to change the switch over 3 times now and have had to ask for temporary cover. Thank goodness they're a decent company as some would have charged us a fortune by now!

Having a productive day around the house getting things sorted and chores done. New internal doors for upstairs have arrived from Wickes, cost £200 in the end but couldn't find any elsewhere that would fit for less without being rubbish quality. Still need to get new handles, hinges and varnish!

Have had quite a few online surveys crop up the last few days and have enough points across various things for £40 in amazon vouchers now. Not sure what to get, there are quite a few things that I would like really, I do need some new work shoes though so I think it might go on that - boring!

Still waiting for insurance refund to come through, could take a few days yet apparently just hope it hasn't been caught up with all the chopping and changing thanks to the garage.

The next couple of months at works should be quite steady which is good news, would love to be able to afford my wish list and still save our target - think it's actually in sight :O

I need to price up a new garden fence, we've been meaning to do it for a while and whilst it's not urgent it does need doing sooner rather than later. So it'll allow me to save up for it here and there.

Monthly mortgage payment went through today but still waiting for it to come off of the balance. Next month we might make it into the £91K's (just)!! Will be so delighted when it hits below £90K.

    Today's balance: £92,381.06

We've almost paid £10,000 off  Makes me feeling like we're doing much better than I initially thought!

I forgot to renew our home insurance :o However, managed to find a good deal, which should work out a better deal that our renewal as we're supposed to get vouchers for taking out the policy - I just hope they materialise!

I have to renew our LL insurance soon. Our bill account is getting absolutely hammered as it's the anniversary of everything and lots of renewals so it's running very low!

Not all that long until payday I suppose :T

Hello! I'm still here! Had no idea it had been that long since I'd last posted

I've subscribed to your new thread lilmissup, let the battle continue for us

Had our family visit and spent a lot of money, nothing we couldn't afford (technically) but more than we probably should have. I had a lovely, action packed week though and also got our new internal doors fitted and hung - delighted!

I've made a small OP so far for July, more to follow I hope. I've also renewed our LL insurance, and home insurance. Should get cashback for one and vouchers for the other (hopefully they will materialise!).

Pet Insurance renewal is also through. Will get a few quotes then cancel and get a new policy. We've done this every year as they put it up massively. Just hope we never have to use it :(

MIL is keeping £5 off aldi voucher for us so that will kickstart July's grocery budget of £300.

I have mountains of housework, washing and ironing - never seen so many empty coat hangers in my life. Think I need the flylady thread in my life!

    Not long now lilmissup!!

Had to order a replacement shower for BTL, also need to renew my membership to a LL association and both quite expensive so a knock for this months spare money.

Did the TSB+AccRewards shuffle today. Could only OP a small amount as we're just lagging on our savings target for the year and are ahead of on our OPs. I feel bad not OPing, as or target seems like a challenge I need to beat and not just reach but hopefully in the next couple of month they'll both even up.

We have lots of birthday coming up so I've done a fair bit of present ordering, the money we set aside should pay for most of it but I think I'm going to have to increase the amount as £15 for a close relatives birthday is quite difficult to stick to, especially if there's something specific and thoughtful you have in mind that's more.

I see the NISAs have come in now, I haven't opened an ISA this year as the interest rates were so pitiful, especially compared to TSBcurrent account. Maybe towards the end of the tax year I'll consider it to keep extra money tax free.

    Mortgage balance: £92,479.09

So no chance of us reaching the £91ks with a months worth of interest to go on this month but definitely should next month.

New BTL shower paid for, still need to renew LL membership next week.

Had a NS day, just need a lot more of those...
