Well what is it about in this case. The OP hasn't said. Essentially they are just having a good moan about a bunch of stuff that isn't really substantial; the one thing that matters is relegated to a side issue in their post and they say nothing about what they hope will be done as a result of their complaint.
An unfocussed general whine isn't going to get them very far, whereas a focussed complaint about the one specific issue that is clearly a problem, with a reasonable request for an apology (or whatever) might actually produce something. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Or find another store that cares about customers
Other local shops which rely on customers using baskets, don't seem to have this problem.
It does if it wants to attract and retain customers
I have been known to walk out of shops in similar circumstances.
In my opinion, the OP showed considerable restraint and has my sympathy.

An employee should not break store policy or safety guidelines to make it more conviniet for you. It is unlikely that it is the emplayee that set down the rule that no baskets goes infront or behind the till.
Every store is different.0 -

I agree, what about the children! The lady could have been carrying a can of beans, slipped, and the can hit a poor child on the nose. Or even worse, she could have just popped into sainsburys to buy a certain trilogy of grey books, slipped, book drops open onto the floor, and the poor poor child could have been subjected to a barrage of filth and sex that is being passed off as modern literacy in todays degraded society. It wouldnt have happened in 1942 !!“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Why didn't you use the regular tills like the rest of the shoppers in the store? The purpose of the kiosk is to sell cigarettes, lottery tickets, stamps etc. which aren't sold at the regular tills, not for ordinary shopping which the OP had.
The purpose of the kiosk in my local Sainsburys, and for that matter all my local supermarkets is also for a few items. It's often announced on the tannoy that the kiosk is empty and to please use it for baskets.
Don't see what this has to do with the issue in any way though, OP slipped on her way out, whether she'd been to the kiosk or not doesn't really come into it does it?0 -

Whats 'Sainsbobs' all about??
WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?'' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0 -
I'm sorry to say but I think you're over-reacting.
You could have said no, and refused to take the basket back, she wouldnt have thrown it at you!!
You could have put your bagged shopping back in the basket to take to the door.
You could have used a trolley
The fact you fell has NOTHING to do with the way you were treated. She came over an helped you when you fell and you cried. You are probably more embarrassed about crying in public than angry.
Calm down and next time get a trolley or don't use the kiosk. You could have used a normal till !!!!!!.
Please get a grip, it's not the end of the world. What exactly do you want from the store? Compensation (probably) or apology??Saving money like a trouper...0 -

Perhaps not - but this thread is for praise, vents and warnings and it seems the OP is venting her spleen about an injury sustained in Sainsbury's which I believe she was justified in expressing her anger.
Of course all of those on here who are suggesting that the OP is after compensation would never dream of claiming compo if they or a member of their family received an injury at work or in a public place that was not their fault.0
