    Whereabouts are you from Alison?

Though I am not Alison - I also come from Kent, but don't live there now. I come from the Isle of Sheppey (I know, i know) which is relevant because there have been times in the not too distant past that it (and therefore I and / or mum and dad) have been completely cut off due to snow or floods. One winter they had helicopters dropping supplies. JIT philosophy means that a whole, rather large community can be completely cut off for nearly a week and things do start to run out. And this isn't a community in the highlands of Scotland or such like, but one that is less than 50 miles from London.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

I have a a greenhouse full of Nagas not yet ripe!!!
Am holding on as long as possible.

I live in a little village at the bottom of a steep hill, such fun - I have no skis.

:) We have a password?! Gosh. Is there a secret hand-shake as well?

I confess to not having the foggiest clue where Melton Mowbray, unless it's the county town of Pyeland? I went to the Cheddar Gorge once, you know. I shan't bother again as I got a bit cheesed-off.

:oSorry. I'll take myself off for a cuppa now.:o

On a more serious note I may need to get hold of a perfume still which I think is the only kind that is legal in the UK.

Alcohol would be needed and not only to drink if it got really serious.

    *Comes out of lurkdom*

Our local home brew shop sell stills - the chap who owns the shop explained that it is legal to sell them as you could use them to distill water, however it is illegal to use them to make spirits. What you do with them is up to you however. Happy to PM you their website.
  • I actually like to keep a stockpile of vodka , because it is the base of so many home remedies thanks to James Wong animated-smileys-love-erotic-003.gif of grow your own drugs fame. I also keep Bacardi, Southern Comfort, Gin Cointreau, Brandy whiskey, wine etc etc ;)
