    Morning all

Nice to see you back JW

    Hugs to the poorly ones.

Started attacking my kitchen this morning - I've started in one corner and scrubbed and cleared as I went - I've done one whole wall - the one with the sink, cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer and boiler - only one cupboard so that wasn't too bad but everythings been scrubbed and polished and the blind is currently in soak in the bath in stardrops..all the kitchen windows have been clean on the inside - too cold to venture out today. Just having a coffee before starting on the other side.

Shower curtain and mats all in the wash and after the blinds finished its soak I'll scrub the walls down in the bathroom and give the window a going over.

    It's an exciting life eh.

Woke up with such a headache this morning - sleep wasn't helping so thought I'd best get stuck in to something to take my mind off it - it's worked too - can just feel it throbbing away in the background now I've stopped.

Chicken in the SC for tea (or it will be in a mo) with new pots and salad.

    Have a good day.

    Hello all!

Had a productive morning but now off to work for a late shift. :(

I could so easily be a housewife (admittedly I'd be on here for most of the day but still...) ;) Roll on maternity leave!

  • Something tells me I'll never me a mum. Maybe I'll be a Dad one day, but never a mum! :rotfl:

I don't have kids (only 25 and want my career!) but I can empathise with tidying up after people, my housemate doesn't lift a finger so I do all the cleaning and tidying. If I go out for the evening he'll have managed to use five or six mugs and a multitude of plates and bowls, I don't know how he manages to use that many but he leaves them everywhere!

It's always nice to get home after a night out to find my kitchen and lounge a mess  ... oh ah that's the other thing, I've started calling it 'my' kitchen :o:D

I'm highly tempted to get a tub of Ben & Jerry's tonight... or a bottle of red, haven't decided yet! If Hardy's special reserve is on special at tesco again that'll make my decision for me :)
I am not really an Eskimo. I can hear what you're thinking... "Inuit!"

Even those of us whose job description requires us to not make assumptions sometimes get it wrong. Definitely not asking what a *donger* is now

Happy birthday to Little Miss Shez! :T :T :T Think I might need a pink scooter, too!

    Morning All!!!

Happiest of Happy Birthdays Little Miss Shez!!!!!

    Welcome to all newbies!!!

    Congrats Scuzz and Paulies Girl!!!

CCStar - hope things improve for you, you know where we are whenever you need us.

Beautiful here today but soooo cold. I think I need a new coat so have been looking around, just can't seem to stay warm in the wool one I have so am looking at quilted down ones or similar.

At work today they are giving out free energy saving lightbulbs between 12 - 2, apparently the queue is out the door already!!!

Got a lovely surprise yesterday, DH had bought me a new phone which I had liked for ages, I also needed one with Bluetooth as people always seem to call when I'm driving. Now I can have his 24 ring tone, it's so cool.

Footie tonight for DS so pasta bake for dinner, I also need to buy DD some new gloves. I think she must eat them so may buy those whilst DS is "on the pitch" to save time.

Right must crack on, have a lovely day all!!!

Add me to the "not a mum"-s :D
thanks all for friendly welcome! I'm so glad I finally decided I'd have a look in on the chat forums on this website, before I just occassionally checked the deals but the forums gave me my "lightbulb moment" and I've already saved on a food shop and on Saturday am collecting my mum's slow cooker which she doesn't use :T
