    Good Afternoon

    Well done paulie's girl

hello to the newbies today also!!

well done pen-pin for receiving the cheque, bit ignorant of the cleaning company not to enclose a letter of some sort of an apology.

My car is absolutely gleaming!!! The chap said it didnt nearly get done! (i thought to myself it was bad - but not that bad) it was only because I had a liverpool football sticker on my back window! Phew!!!!
Apparently I stand to correct myself, I said it was £100 but should have cost £200. Personally I wouldnt pay that much, but being though it was a freebie - who am I to mumble!

    Sausage casserole smell delish!
Justgoing to iron uniforms for work/school tomorrow.

    Catch you later
    Love Emma xxx

Wow, congratulations Loubee! I bet you feel great having your own place, for things to stay tidy and everything to be just how you want it... Hopefully I'll make it in a little over a year.

it's fantabulous.:D I'm still only renting, but to come home and not be confronted by someone elses manky dishes/piles of rubbish is great. Hopefully will be able to buy somewhere in the next fews years. will have to be under the shared ownership scheme though. researchers wage + london house prices = cardboard box by the river :rotfl:

Afternoon. Thought I'd pop in and let everyone know how Lily is doing. We've been to the hospital today and they've reduced her fitting medication...
:j :D :j . With luck we won't have any fits and then it won't be long before she can come off it. Lets just say its always a battle to get it into her....she hates it.

She was also weighed and is 12lbs 14. Not bad for a 4 month / 19 week old.

We have started solid food....she started feeding very strangely, and some food seems to have settled her. its only when she demands it and the relevant time. Her favourite is Heinz Cauliflour, broccoli and cheese. I think its revolting, but she loves it.

As for old style....not much to report. We're staying with family whilst we look for a new house in the area...still looking.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
  • I'm not a Mum either - but it's a work in progress and you will all be told when I am. I am Mummy Bird to two naughty budgies though (they've been eating my plants again, don't know why as they have apple and greens on a regular basis and they do it sneakily too.....)

Wow, 2p off income tax. Didn't see that one coming Gordie!!! Memo to self - don't spend it all at once.... :rotfl:
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Afternoon everone :hello:

    OK, deeeeeeep breath..........

Welcome to Lambanana, Eskimo's Donger, fizzel81 and any other newbies on the thread :) lambanana, do you mind me asking about your name? It's just my mum used to call us 'Lamb's Banana' as an endearment, I've never heard it from anyone else!!

    Congrats to Scuzz and Paulie'sGirl

HariboJunkie - snap!! I made a *huge* pot of stew last night, there will be more than enough for tonight but I have a monster pile of ironing waiting for me. I will happily swap it if anyone wants it?

Big hugs to all those in need: CCStar, sahmx5, tinkerbelluk, catznine and everyone who's poorly today.

Happy BIirthday to Little Miss Shez

natzini, I might well go for the typed notice myself, as I would assume they were (a) cheaper and (b) possibly more approachable. Sorry if that doesn't help!

Phew! Remind me never to come on the daily thread after 2pm again

Big clean up this morning as friends coming over, everything shiny for about 5 seconds until 5 kids got loose! Now back to normal but smells of bleach and lovely clean things! Finishing off the pack of Jaffa cakes they left behind :o

Depressing experience yesterday, I had £15 of vouchers for Top Shop/Dotty Ps from doing surveys, and as DS1 was at nursery I thought I would take DS2 and have a mooch around. Always though of them as cheap and cheerful places and was looking forward to getting a nice top or a bag or something. Well not a chance :rolleyes2: Felt like a right frumpy old mum pootling about with my buggy and flat shoes, thought the clothes were hideous, and OMG is it really £35 for a t-shirt???????

I am definitely getting old! In the end I bought a T-shirt for £16, the quality is so poor I think I could have made it myself, but hey, it was a freebie and might make me look a bit younger and trendier when the warm weather arrives.....

Found out DH is getting his bonus even though he's handed in his notice :) so maybe I can persuade him to take me out shopping :D

Oh, and he has signed up for one of those fish salesmen who come to the door, all entirely unauthorised as I was bathing DS2 at the time. Going off to check their website and find out all the things he forgot to ask - like where the fish comes from, is it fresh, how much does it cost etc.

Hope everyone's day is going well.

EDITED to add: rchddap1 , glad your little girl is doing well. And I wanted to say I loved the ironing pic Pink-Winged!

haven't caught up with the rest of the thread yet but just popped on to say that my day has gone to pot again because of this place.:o
Why do I find Os so fascinating?

On the upside I had a lovely long chat with my big sister on the phone today. We don't talk often enough and live very far apart and I thought I had annoyed her so it was lovely to hear her voice. :j
I have just had an email from her which was lovely and made me cry. Just wanted to share cos I for one forget how important some people are.

Off to get girls from the bus and then I must do some housework.

    Haribo x

ps. Loved the pic Pink Now where can i get me one of those? ;)

Hi all - hope you've all had a good day. Just reminding you about Whistleblower on TV tonight - about those nasty banks!

House nice and clean and beef stew in slowcooker - smells lovely! I had a good chat with MY sister last night - she's feeling down and I've told her to join us here because I know it'll make her feel loads better! I'll also tell her about paidtoclick once I can figure out just exactly how you make money from it - I don't seem to be getting very far even though I have joined loads of survery companies. I must be doing something wrong. I'll try again later - right now my eyes have gone a bit wobbly - this site is addictive - I can hardly tear myself away! It really is like being amongst good friends, isn't it? Must go and stir my stew! Byeeeee!
