Was it any good?
Very good - Tom Skerritt is brilliant too. I believe it was a mini-series that got tacked together for DVD.
Amazon sell it:

Ron Perlman is awesome in general - I love Hellboy

I've just read the reviews (thank for the link) and I'm beginning to wonder if I have actually seen it! But I could just be remembering the book.....
I loved Ron Perlman in Alien Resurrection - "Does that compute? Or do I have to draw you a schematic?!!!"0 -
thehappybutterfly wrote: »Oh wow! You really like the old SK stuff - the CLASSIC Stephen King! I love The Stand - I've just found the Uncut Edition on my Kindle hurrah! And I love love love the Dark Tower series. They're talking about turning the series into a movie (Ron Howard directing) and there's quite a bit of debate around who would play Roland Deschain and his ka-tet!
Aww cant wait for this! Especially cant wait for Wizard and Glass that was my favourite!0 -
I very, very rarely watch film adaptations of books I've read, I can't stand the changes they make! Even minor changes annoy me - like in The Remains of the Day - it's NOT Senator Lewis who buys Darlington Hall in the book, but it is in the film:mad:
Worse are Jamaica Inn and Chocolat - where is the Vicar of Altarnun?? Why is Reynaud a mayor instead of a curate??
Hmm, casting - trying to think who would be a good DCI Banks, I've read all the books but just can't get a clear picture of him in my head. But I do think George Baker was well cast as Wexford - he's how I WANTED Wexford to look, even though the character was described as a very ugly man!0 -

Just seen this thread and can't beleive TC has been cast as the role of Reacher
no no no no no, he is just wrong, too short, not the right build and too much of a cool, pretty boy, I don't imagine Jack Reacher like this at all. Had a wee peek at the trailer and it's just not right!!
I'm currently reading Kathy Reichs just now, also like a bit of Karen Rose and Karin Slaughter"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
John Hannah was too much of a pretty boy to play hard drinking Rebus imo, I was happier when Ken Stott took over the role. He had a more 'lived in face' iykwim?
Had I seen Daniel Craig playing Bond I'm sure His portrayal of Blomkvist would have seemed wrong. Both actresses' who played Lisbeth Salander were quite true to her description in the books.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -

Totally agree with this, don't know why they didn't think Ken Stott was the obvious first choice tbh!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -

I've just read all 3 books. Haven't seen the films but knew it was Daniel Craig - I think he'd be perfect for the part, but maybe that was cos I had the picture in my mind.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
