Step brothers and sisters sharing a room

Ahh what a shame, I'd also ask her what she thinks is acceptable.
Hope you get it sorted, I think your new little family is wonderful!! xxTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I have to say, if I had a 8 year old daughter, she wouldn't be sharing a room with a male. Brother, cousin, step brother etc. I think its just to risky! Kids experiment and she's going to be hitting puberty very shortly. Get her a blow up bed from argos or a futon in your living room!0

Kids "experiment"? At eight years old? I very much doubt that. Most especially, even if the temptation or opportunity was there, when there are parents less than twenty feet away.
What total nonsense!0 -
At 8 my daughter is interested in dolls, cars, painting and lego. The only time boys are any use to her is when she is playing schools as in her mind the assistant head teacher has to be a man (as it is at her school).
She's way, way off experimenting because she's still a very innocent young child. These children are 8 for goodness sake, not young teens or even close to being teens.0 -

It's not nonsense at all. Kids do experiment at all ages.
Flashing their bits, flashing their knickers/underpants, touching each other etc, is not uncommon at all in 8 year olds, plus younger and older too!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Thanks GobbledyGook I thought for a second I was doing this parenting all wrong. I have a nearly 8 year old, he is a baby!! How awful to think that children so young would even think of that kind of thing. Unless something has gone very very wrong in their lives its not even on their radar!0

Yes it is, but can you imagine the reaction of the ex if her daughter went home and told her mother that they had done this? It could cause all sorts of problems.
The mother has to be comfortable with the sleeping arrangements no matter what anybody else thinks. As already suggested I would ask her for ideas and what she would be happy with.0 -

Totally agree, I was speaking generally rather than in relation to the OP - got a bit carried away on the subject0 -
