Glad the christening went well for you and at least you have lots of alcohol to last the festive period - we just stocked up using money off coupons and deals in Morrisons, hopefully that will last a wee while too.

Well done on your OPs! that is a great amount since June :) I'm so pleased I started this this year, I'm addicted to saving even though I'm not OPing it yet.

Good to hear the christening went well. That OP is good news too with all of the expense you have recently had. Well done.
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post

Normal mortgage payment gone in, so updated my sig. Nice to be closer to 180k than 190k. :j

Annual mortgage statement arrived (2 days ago & Mrs QBW has only just told me) - great to see the OPs on there and a real motivation for the next year. :rotfl:

So having opted out of private healthcare and selling 5 days holiday, I get an extra £150 a month, so I'm going to up my standing order by £50 to £200.

After a bit of a down period, feeling fairly positive about it all at the mo'!!! :)

Not a lot to report money wise, in that dull two weeks before pay day period, where my focus is on spending as little as poss.

Have been analysing my annual mortgage statement a bit more and in a year I paid about 5.5k off the capital, but a whopping 7.5k in interest, 2k more (I know I'm a mathematical genius).

The thing is it would be a lot worse without the 900 I OPd, so one thing is for sure, on the next annual statement, the interest paid is going to be less than the capital :T

One interesting thing is they haven't adjusted the end date????

On to other things, taking my boy to watch Milkshake Live today - I'm more excited than he is (although my favourite presenter won't be on :(:()

I do say that though, and Mrs QBW says "your not babysitting, they're your kids as well" :rotfl:
