I've also made the decision that I need to change my car, it's done 111k miles and things are going to start going wrong on it. Such a time consuming thing though.

No posts for two months - tut, tut, tut.

Haven't changed my car, struggling to justify it.

MFW has taken a back seat I'm afraid, as we're having a new kitchen, spent the weekend stripping the plaster off the walls, first fix of electrics is done, bi-folds arriving today!!! In about 30 mins actually.

Have taken up a new deal on one part of the mortgage, which will reduce the monthly costs, apart from that had a great summer, kids back to school tomorrow and it's on with the kitchen.

Sounds lovely and we can't have it all and do it all - all at the one time:)

You still need to live comfortable, it's just the little things that make the difference,
like shopping at L1dl's or @ldi's, reducing outgoings, elec, gas etc and batch cooking
to name but a few. Works wonders

Not to mention having a knotty o/p now and then ;)
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's

Work still being done on the new kitchen, the lounge is now plastered. New chimney is built, log burner going in next week.

I had a lucky escape with my car a couple of weeks ago, so have bitten the bullet and my new one comes next week.

So much going on, not sure if I'm coming or going.

Work still not finished on the house, although the kitchen is not far away now and neither is the lounge. Will soon be time to stop, reflect and put in place a bit of a financial recovery plan.

There is light at the end of the tunnel!!!! Today we will have heating downstairs for the first time in over twelve months.

Long time no post - over 10 months.

In terms of changes in figures, we went below the £200k mark which was quite a milestone, and the house has been revalued so we now own over 50%.

I've renegotiated our mortgage deal, so that both parts now end on the same date, it was a real pain them coming to an end on alternate years not to mention costly.

Hope anyone that remembers me says hi.
