Definite Sunday night feeling, had a great weekend but gone far too quickly. Spent a lot of it in the garden, done lots of washing, had a trip to the tip, bought a second hand swing and slide set, put that up, shattered now though.

Monthly mortgage payment gone in. No OPs made this month. It feels very different having a bigger mortgage, progress just feels so slow.

Reducing the mortgage just 1% takes an absolute age, oh well it will get easier I suppose as the capital increases.

My car's gone in for a service and needs a new battery, it's going to cost loads. The kids needed new clothes so we had to buy some over the weekend. We got them all in the sale and have stocked up, but it's been an expensive few days.

Had a great few days in Conrnwall on a S*n voucher holiday, had some lovely weather and even managed to get on the beach.

A busy weekend ahead too, before work on Monday.

New mortgage deal came into effect yesterday, so paying £66 less a month for a while now.

Long time no post. Not a lot is happening I suppose, other than things continue to be pretty tight financially, luckily I get a bonus in June, just need to try and get through the next two mortgage payments.

Trying desperately to get a pay rise at work, had a good yearly review but I need to do a few other bits and pieces... to try and hammer it home.

Apart from the lack of money, life is pretty good. I also have a rather embarrassing admission to make, I fried eggs this morning for the first time in my life :-)

9 months into living in the new house and still unpacking boxes, last week unpacked one that was hidden under a table in the kitchen, yesterday did one that had been in the office, full of paperwork to be shredded, recycled and filed. Still a lot to do but feel a small % more organised today.

Mail re-direction finishes at the end of the month and still got a few things to sort will crack on with those this week. Need to sort out my car insurance too.

Mortgage payment today, and a block coloured in on the chart. No OPs this month. Maybe in June - bonus month, will have to wait and see what I get and if it's enough to pay a bit off.

So found out what my bonus was for the year and it was pretty good - so we've booked a holiday - not entirely sure it's a very MSE/Sensible thing to do - but life is for living and I don't want to regret not having taken the kids on holiday when I'm older so there you go.
