Ordered the carpet for daughter's room today, being fitted on Thursday, so we can get the room sorted on Saturday, it'll be a big relief.
Posted the docs for the mortgage app today too, so fingers crossed.Start Date 16/09/2015

Standard monthly mortgage payment made - Progress feels so S-L-O-W, can't wait to get into the 170s, well actually I have to wait, It'll be June a whole 6 months after I'd originally targeted, all feels a little frustrating.:(Start Date 16/09/2015

Chin up QB Wolf, June will be here before you know it and you'll be in the £170's.0 -
But where would you be in June if you'd overpaid nothing?

Thanks SD, CF and Fothers, thanks for taking the time to do this calc, £204 saved is pretty good, 21 days until the next OP. :jStart Date 16/09/2015

Hi QB Wolf. You replied on my diary and now i've read through yours and its a very good read!
I'm also going to take a guess and say you work at the same place as me (Starts with J and ends with LR!)? from your posts that mention a mid year review and pay day as 28th its an educated guess.
Well done on all you have accomplished so far anyway and if your missus is looking at moving/upgrading take a look at Redditch as you can get a Mahoosive house over there for 250k - 300k and the area is very good.MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -

Thanks for the reply, like the tips on your thread.
No I don't work at JLR, although I know a few people that do.
Redditch isn't a bad shout, you can also get a lot for your money in Kiddy, we are very wedded to the area we're in though, but certainly worth considering.Start Date 16/09/2015

Am I glad it's Friday?
Tonight is the last night our Daughter will sleep in our room, her room is finished and the cot will go in there tomorrow. I am super excited - good nights sleep (especially in the week) here I come.
We'll have a big tidying day tomorrow getting all of upstairs back to normal.
Need to have a trip to the tip and Herr A.
Heard nothing from my mortgage app yet though.
Hope everyone has a great weekend :jStart Date 16/09/2015

Well a fairly successful day.
Cot disassembled, glued where it was coming apart, moved to nursery, re-assembled, pictures and stuff all hung, so room ready for tonight :T
Haven't been to the tip or tidied upstairs, or been to Herr A though. Always tomorrow, says the procrastination king.
Rang FD the mortgage application has been approved, still need to have the house valued etc, so a bit to go yet.
Looking forward to a relaxing evening and some mindless pap on the TV, wish I could have a beer though
