Thanks Katsu I know not having a car is damaging my career a little, there are a few things that I haven't done, because of it.

At least I can apply some good principles to it, don't get credit to buy, and get a good deal. It's just proving difficult atm.

Well just after I'd made my last post, the owner of a car I'd been interested in rang me to say she'd lowered the asking price, so to cut a long story short, I've bought it and after some haggling £1k under the original asking price (it was overpriced mind you).

So happy new car (well new to me anyway).

Mission for tonight - book a holiday!!

Today is going to be an expensive day :rotfl:

'grats Wolf. I agree cars affect your job - I'd got a promotion and my old car was getting quite rusty and unreliable so I needed something suitable.

Similar to me I was promoted last July, and have been getting a car allowance, so not having a car was a bit naughty (although I had access to a car).

Anyway my boss pulled me to one side on Monday and said he thought it was affecting my ability to do my job properly. I couldn't argue!!

Well done on the car and getting it reduced too:)

Where did you book for the holiday? I will just be dreaming of a week abroad this year but hopefully next year we will go somewhere sunny for a break.

Hi Fothers, we're having a week in Majorca, managed to get a pretty good price. We're taking my mother in law, she's having a bit of a rough trot atm and could do with a break, and she'll help with the kids :rotfl:

I did have a panic, thinking I should OP the money instead, but I'm thinking my boy will be going to school in September 14 so we haven't got long to have term time holidays.

We're going all inclusive which I've never done before, so looking forward to it.
