Glad you had a great weekend.

Will the ipod dry out do you think? After we had something similar happen to something electrical the manufacturer said to put it in a seal tupperware tub full of rice as it is supposed to soak up the moisture as it leaves- may be worth a try?

My passport and eldest dd expire this year and I am not sure whether to renew. We won't be going anywhere abroad this year but I hate not having it just in case.

At last my PAYE coding notice has arrived, it's dated 17th April so must have got lost in the post.

So I can get this to FD today and get this mortgage application rolling again.

Well that must have done the trick, they rang up to arrange the valuation today. So another step along the way.

Sun Holiday booked got our first choice place and date! Woo hoo living the high life!!!

    Not posted for a while...

Just back from our Sun Holiday in Cornwall, had an absolutely brilliant time. The MSE philosophy took a bit of a pasting but I justified it as the holiday was so cheap. The accommodation was brilliant, lovely site and had some great days out - the kids the 3 year old especially had a great time

Finally picking up my new car tomorrow :T Just sorted the insurance and it was £45 cheaper than I was quoted 2 weeks ago.

New mortgage company are valuing the house on Thursday....

    So a lot going on......

Well got my car and really chuffed with it, has got a bit of a dent on the back bumper that I hadn't noticed.

Also I'd forgotten what a tight squeeze the drive is for two cars, we're going to have to move!!!!! My son can't get to the garden without crawling under the car.

I think we're going to have to put the house on the market, spent the last hour on wrongmove, I'll sleep on it, but don't think we can stay here :(

Glad the new car is great and you had a good holiday. I hope you see a house that takes your fancy at the right price. I used to love going to look round houses but the thought fills me with dread now with how much the market has changed since we bought last in the hey day.

We are off on a similar cheap caravan holiday next week. I am really hoping for mild dryish weather or it could be a nightmare. I am not sure what sort of heating the van has!

Well not a bad first day back at work - got plenty done. Four days until pay day so that's a positive.

I'm now regretting booking the majorca holiday, after a good week last week I don't really need another holiday this summer and if we want to move house we'll need every penny.

I just don't know what to do about the moving house thing, the plan was to stay another three years and build the equity, we love the house we're in, we're in a good location, got lots of friends around, good schools, it's just the parking situation and lack of outside space for the kids....

The issue is we just can't afford to get the house we want and I don't want to stretch us any more than we already are, I suppose I'm enjoying the paying off and planning to pay off the mortgage and getting it to a more reasonable level, I suppose I'm a little embarrassed to have such a large mortgage as it stands.

We're also thinking of moving out into the country a little more but I'm just not sure, there are pros and cons but unfortunately compromises will need to be made, I hate having to think about this kind of stuff.

Sounds like quite a dilemma. Don't feel guilty about your holiday in Majorca - it's always nice to have something to look forward to.

I read that your drive is a tight squeeze for the two cars, are you able to extend the drive to the side, so that it cuts a bit into your garden, so that you can make more room for the cars?
