Possession, a quick google search said an hour and has to be fully submerged in the sauce.

    Afternoon all

Hugs to the poorlies.....but virtual hugs from a safe distance, I don't want germy lurgy thank you.

Had three live mice in the kitchen this morning, ginger kitten thinks they belong inside and keeps brining them in!! Needless to say I've had a good scrub round and am just waiting for the floors to dry before starting dinner. I shall be having stern words with said kitten later and remind him that live things stay outside...not sure he'll listen.

My hoover pipe has cracked at a rigid plastic point. What's the best sort of tape for this do you think? It's not glue-able and the rest of the Hoover is fine.....any suggestions welcomed.

Well i was planning on going into town today for a mooch around the charity shops but it'd been blowing a gale here and raining so DD2 and I have stayed tucked up indoors.

Trying to be more upbeat as i've been on a downer the past few days, just life getting on top of me but sometimes i just feel like going back to bed :o

    K xx

Edited to add - DH has just had a call from his boss to tell him his job is safe :j (certain departments are restructuring). Massive massive weight lifted now :D:D:D In fact i'm crying now :o Phew!

I can understand that and I bet there are many who feel that way and not necessarily because it is full blown depression and it can leave as quickly as it came.

That's wonderful news and you can never have too much of it!

I am now a big fan of Charity Shops but I need to see some in other towns, here you get to a point where you have seen most of what they have, my other problem is I have room to buy the things I like such as clothes, books and CD's but though bargains, if I have to downsize I have wasted money(except it has helped a charity I suppose)and have to get rid of what I have purchased so it is difficult to decide sometimes whether to buy.

On the other hand if you can why not? It is awful to perhaps deny a simple and inexpensive pleasure.

I can't visualise where you mean but I have duct-tape all over my hoover. It seems to hold fast.

POOKY - He who knows thinks you would be able to buy the replacement part from the above link. We have used them and they are reliable and as good a price as any. There is usually a diagram of the appliance in need of the part on their web site to make ordering easier too. In the short term he says Gaffer Tape will do the job. Hope that helps, Cheers Lyn x.

Re hoover repair, Duck tape, the stickiest and NOT cheapest you can find. Also known as bodge tape in our house, we have mended motor bikes with it and cable ties, stunning stuff. Wrap it round starting about 1width above injury and going 1width below injury overlapping by 1/3 of width on each rotation.

If that makes sense I am amazed.
