MrsLurcherwalker wrote: »FUDDLE how about bacon and onion yorkie pudding? Just make batter mix as normal, heat some fat/oil in an ovenproof dish and when it's smoking hot put in the batter and scatter over chopped onion, chopped bacon and seasoning with a bit of dried sage and cook it like a normal yorkie. Real comfort food, enjoy, Cheers Lyn xxx.

I tell you something Lyn that's sparked an idea. (They're cooking but without the onion as DD didn't want me to put onion in) They're in the medium yorkshire tins. 4 yorkshires to a tin. Normally when making toad in the hole I use a much bigger roasting tin and chuck a whole packet of sausages in. If I do it this way, using the 4 yorkshires I could only use half a packet of sausages and chop them up.0

Congratulations fuddle
Am taking my own advice and hitting the hot honey and lemon.
This morning has been hit and miss, we went to school for meeting and it went extraordinarily well, they are going to start dyslexia testing (I am paying for DS14 to have it done) as they agree with me that he probably is, there is a huge gap between his ability and his attainment!!
Then raced to hospital with DD for her US and my XRay, hers was done and quick, mine was a queue, then they found stuff on first two that GP requested so did another three:eek: and the fifth showed something else so they did a sixth. They said it saved the GP having to send me back again. They mentioned calcification and something else I cannt remember, so will wait and see, tomorrow I need to organise more bloods as GP "didnt like" last ones - no surprise there, I didnt like them much either:rotfl:
Was planning a wander to costco with DD, but had panicked call from DS14, who was stood outside in high wind and rain as OH hadnt collected him. Cue major dash back, whilst DD called home, turns out car has flat tyre, spare is also flat:eek: and the screwy thingy has been stolen!! Oh had called my dad but it takes him twenty minutes and OH rang after trying to change wheel rather than before.
Am now tucked up and not going out until pick up - munching on the egg muffins (Thanks again MrsC).0 -
Fuddle I use those tins for toad in the hole and usually buy the little sausages to fit in them. I find my big tin never cooks as well and it ends up heavy and claggy.0

You lot can talk the hind-leg off a donkey.
To those who are sick - hope you get better soon.
PAH - fingers crossed they find out what is wrong with your daughter and she heals up quickly.
GQ - thanks for the explanation re 'C.R.A.P R.O.L.L.Z'
Hester - there are regulations about how cold a workplace can be, but not how hot. (Good friend worked in a sweatbox, so investigated.) Below a certain point (I think 16C), they have to supply heating and/or cold weather gear. Have a look here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/index.htm Get a thermometer for the office and photograph it regularly with the date/time stamp switched on to provide evidence your employers are not complying. Also, ask in writing for heating and keep copies of any replies (email will do, but PDF it).

FUDDLE - Yorkie pud is also lovely with grated cheese/cheese and onion on top too!!! For a variation on toad in the hole you can use sausage meat rolled into balls instead of sausages or a mixture of sausage meat and sage and onion stuffing works well and stretches the sausage meat even further, nice with onion gravy!
