  • Hello all...i'm baaaaacccckkkk!!!

Lovely week away..nice weather, not too keen on the actual place we went (Tunisia) to but it was a break which was very needed!!!

I took my weekly spends of £100 with me and did end up spending it all, tipping is a big thing there as the daily wages are stupidly low (about £4 per day) so we tipped high. I fear quite a high phone bill next month as I sent a fair few texts home, although no internet usage so should be ok on that front!!

Back home yesterday morning and went and drew weekly money, filled petrol etc and got a few food bits and a present for a christening I am at on Sunday. Will start the new spending diary later...

My first mortgage payment was taken whilst I was away :D, surprised it is that exciting to me but hey simple things....

My sister who owed me £150 paid me that also whilst away so have transferred that into savings...signature will be updated shortly!

I made a decision whilst away to join back to Weight Watchers, although it is expensive at around £22 per month, I feel it is worth it...i don't seem to have any discipline when doing it alone. So i will sign up to that at the weekend and go to the first meeting on Monday evening.

Got a long to do list for the weekend, tonight's agenda is to sort paperwork and spreadsheets, I have been transferring all direct debits from one account to the Santander 123 acc the last few weeks which means next month the way I use my current accounts should change....will finalise all that at the weekend and then watch it like a hawk next month to ensure no mistakes!!

Hope all are well, will be on later to catch up on all your diaries...xx

  • evening all, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far :)
Nice day here, was treated to breaky this morning and then some shopping with my sister, have done the food shopping at various shops and came to around £40all together, however bf pays half so only £20ish on my part.

Managed to do a few quidco check ins whilst in town and now up the dizzy heights of £5.25!

I have just gone through and had a tidy up of all my accounts and have figured I have around £195 leftover for the month which I am really pleased with. I have decided to put £100 into my Halifax account to act as a buffer as this is the account the weekly £100 will be taken from...have accounted for £440 per month so will need the buffer some months!

The other £95 is going to be sent over to my savings account and will update signature shortly afterwards :j:j

Gone through and sorted my direct debit spreadsheet, so many direct debits change after the fist six months ish so have had to put notes in for all of those.

Still waiting for the details of the water and council tax...have been told by the developer that the council will write to me to sort it out, not a problem as I will just put the money earmarked for those bills into savings account so will be ready for when needed but would of thought they would be looking to get there money asap!

I have signed up and sent my details to the water people but heard nothing from them yet...again surprising as I would of thought they too would want money set up quickly!!

Anyway enough rambling for now...on to some more organising and spreadsheeting as well as more diary catch ups!!xxx

    I know they certiantly are!:j:j

Saying that, I have spoken to my neighbour over the weekend who has said he thinks we need to pay next years maintenance (£960) in one lump sum in January whereas I had been banking on paying £80 per month.

Shouldnt be too much of a problem as I should have thhat much in my savings by then but will be a hard pill to swallow - an almost £1k hit on the savings :eek: even though it will mean that money can be put back into my savings each month.

Apart from that bit of news, it has been a nice day today at my friends kids christening, spend about £4 on drinks as the doo afterwards so not too bad!!

    Monday tomorrow :(:(

not a very good day yesterday....bought lunch (had brough some food to heat up at work but kitchen out of bounds yesterday due to flooding of the toilets ) so bought it.

Also popped into aldi last night (being over the road may not be the best for my purse...even if it is cheap!!) and that was another £3.

So a NSD today to make up for it!

Weekly money will be drawn tomorrow, will fill up petrol (£30) and have a theater ticket to pay for for May next year (£35) which means remaining money next week will be £35. In theory it should be enough...nothing majorly expensive planned for over the weekend apart from a bit of food shopping...but have quite a lot in the freezer so should be fairly cheap!!

hope all are well, cant wait till Friday as it is Payday!!!
I can move all my money around for the first month and see if my banking works as planned...should be collecting both the Halifax £5 reward as well as the cash back from the bills (Santander 123 acc for bills account).

    hope all are well xxx
