It was actually under 10 Euro for the whole family of 5. ie less than 2 Euro each. With the exception of Madrid and El Prat (Barcelona) the cost is less than 2 Euro per person. For Girona, Costa Brava its 42 cents (30p) pp
Ill say it again Stevie, if that spoils anyones holiday, they are in for a rotten time anyway0 -
I don't need to read it 10 times; once was adequate and I've said earlier that although I understand what was written, I don't concur with it. It's meaning has not changed for me. I repeat yet again, that it is not for us on here to nanny a persons decision to take a holiday.
It's quite simple really; I dont agree with that view. I don't have to agree with someone elses view and that's the end of it.
You just saying you're "repeating" yourself doesn't actually make it true... You do realise your list of posts, none of which say this, are still visible?
"The "issue" as you put it, is, that it is not for people on here to decide whether an additional 10 euros is going to affect an individual. Clearly we do not agree on the "issue". So please, let us leave it at that."
THAT IS NOT REMOTELY THE ISSUE. I would repeat the actual issue again but as you've pointed out, reading it over and over again for some reason doesn't let it sink into your brain. I can't understand why you cannot grasp such a simple concept... I really couldn't care less whether you agree with what everyone else is saying or not - but don't start insisting you understand the other viewpoint when you CLEARLY don't...0 -

I've told you that I don't agree with your view. I've also told you that I understand your view. Understanding your view and agreeing with it don't have to go hand-in-hand. I'm not planning to reply further to this.0 -

From Spanish papers (translated) today ....
"The budget airline Ryanair is cutting three routes to Spain and reducing the number of flights to Madrid and Barcelona Airport in a row over increased airport taxes paid by airlines which have been doubled at Madrid and Barcelona Airports.
Ryanair routes between Manchester and Madrid, East Midlands and Barcelona and Leeds Bradford and Barcelona will be terminated from November 2012. They will also reduce capacity on 24 routes from Madrid and 22 from Barcelona including flights connecting with Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool and Dublin.
This will mean and Barcelona and Madrid will lose 492 Ryanair flights per week between them. EasyJet has also announced it is closing its base at Madrid airport this winter using higher taxes as one of the reasons."0 -
Ok, here goes. I'm due to fly on the 22nd and, while not exactly happy to pay the extra tax, I wasn't going to let a few euros each extra ruin my holiday. The problem I have is that since booking the flights I have changed bank accounts. I looked all over Ryanair's website to update payment details etc. but there is no option to do this.
I took the plunge and decided to call their (0871, naturally) customer services number. It took me nearly 3 days to get further than the 'high volume... call later' gumph but when I eventually got through I explained everything to the woman on the other end. I asked if I could give her my new debit card number and she said this wasn't possible without cancelling the whole booking and rebooking the tickets again at the current price. I asked her what I could do then as my old account is now closed. She said to do nothing. I asked how this would affect my booking and she said it wouldn't. If the extra isn't paid then it isn't paid. We still get to fly. I asked her to confirm this in an email but she refused.
Surely this isn't right? I don't want to spend my whole week worrying that we won't get to fly when we get to the airport. Anybody else experienced this? Any ideas?
Hi,
I am in the same position, due to fly and the online itinerary shows they tried to take the extra payment but it was declined as my CC has expired. The booking still says confirmed. Any update on your flights or anyone elses where the surcharge has not been taken?0
