Luton airport parking enforcement notice

Is it boring and irrelevant , do yourself a favour , stop posting
But if we can stop one driver getting 'fined' !! its worth while .
Which is what we do here, give advice to people when they have received these unwarranted demands for "fines" which they have no legal authority to issue. The demands mimic those which are lawfully issued by local authorities, which is the intention of the scammers.
Of course, we have to contend with Mikey coming on and making unfounded allegations that we promote a "park anywhere, don't care" approach to parking, but he still hasn't unearthed any evidence of such an approach.
Imagine what Mikey could do if he utilised all that energy into actually, god forbid, giving constructive and sound advice, instead of his constant sniping that does no good for anyone."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

These will be the reported ones I have no doubt. I've kept it polite, insulted no one, and merely asked you to confirm if you agree with the MSE stance on parking correctly in the first place, while agreeing with Wallbash's views. Some of your responses to me.
If you think you have kept it "polite, insulted no one" then you need to think again Mikey, because that is not your modus operandi, and you know it.
Funnily enough you don't criticise wallbash when he makes comments like "makes you look stupid". I wonder why you are not criticising him?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

There you are , I was trying to forgive you after you made that 'stupid' mistake . I wonder if I should bother., giving constructive and sound advice, instead of his constant sniping that does no good for anyone.
I thought his advice was really simple , avoid parking/stopping in the wrong place , thats the only advice I am giving out.0

Does that include those motorists who have been stuck in a traffic jam or at traffic lights, have let passengers out, and have received an invoice from the parking company? Cases like that have been reported both on here and on BBC Three Counties Radio. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

            ...and on PePiPoo.
The advice in those cases was 'you shouldn't have stopped in those traffic jams/red lights in the first place.'
Not really. Only kidding.Je Suis Cecil.0

Please clarify , there are NO traffic lights on the 'roundabout ' in question . I have not and will not debate the rights /wrongs of the company issuing tickets , I don't know enough about the facts/arguments. My one and only concern is to stop people letting people jump out of cars on that ( and only that) 'roundabout'.It slows the traffic down ( or in many cases , to a full stop)0

Thus proving Wallbash right about stopping on the island, and causing the jam. At least you have backed him up about the problem, and the need to keep traffic flowing.0

How do you know those traffic jams were caused by motorists stopping to let passengers off? Have you ever been to the airport at about seven o'clock in the morning? There are traffic jams every day, not caused by the above, but by sheer weight of traffic owing to the inadequate road system in the airport. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

From a post thread dated 27/07/11:-
Received by the keeper of a vehicle I have access to today.
a Parking Enforcement Notice for £80.
The heinous crime "01 -Stopping a vehicle in a no stopping area."
BUT the reason the vehicle came to a stop was that the traffic light on the road was red !!!!!
So what is a driver to do drive through the red light and cause an accident and risk the wrath of people with real statutory authority i.e .The Police. ??
No doubt APCOA will say that it is the alleged act of a passenger alighting from the vehicle when it is stopped at the red light that is the actual breach. (Even though they don't allege such in their notice/invoice ..guess they don't have any evidence ..lol)
Do they seriously expect anyone to pay this ?
It is akin to a Council traffic warden slapping a ticket on your car when it is stopped at a red light when a passenger alights and the road has double yellows and loading/unloading restrictions.
I know we should ignore them but I dearly want them to take this one into a court ..and I will make damn sure the press local and national get to here about it !!
Note to Luton Airport if you don't want us to stop get rid of the effing traffic lights you morons !!!!
