Luton airport parking enforcement notice

Shame on you! you know if he parks on that roundabout he will told he is a very naughty boy.
I'm sure he never would, as he has said so many times in this thread, he would either pay his pound, or park in the free drop and use the bus, like the good boy he is. How could he do anything else, or advise others to?0 -
Never mind.
If you're happy to dodge the answer, badly, and throw insults into every post, it says enough about you. Keep yourself happy, and remain firm, you keep on parking where you want.
I've answered the question Mikey, but as usual, because the answer doesn't suit your agenda you throw out your usual accusation of "you are dodging the question".
As for "insults in very post" 1. you are exagerrating, 2. you think it is ok for you to throw out half baked accusations and insults but you take umbrage when you receive a robust challenge (hypocrisy is the one word that sums up such behaviour) and 3. you still haven't unearthed any post where I have advocated "parking where you want".
I won't be holding my breath waiting for you to provide the evidence."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Now go back to Discussion Time and victimise someone who's on benefits and/or disabled. On this board, we only look down on someone as we help them up.
I asked for proof /evidence . I am still waiting for an answer .
Sometimes what you wish for never materialises.
So let us all stop holding our breath ....... its so undignified.0 -
............As for "insults in very post" ..............
These will be the reported ones I have no doubt. I've kept it polite, insulted no one, and merely asked you to confirm if you agree with the MSE stance on parking correctly in the first place, while agreeing with Wallbash's views. Some of your responses to me.
.................you are a troll with nothing useful to contribute to the real issues in this forum.
Only in your feeble little mind...................
............... Now, who's stupid now?
................. what a clueless troll you really are........................................................................I can just imagine some of your appraisals from work
"This man has delusions of adequacy"
"He sets himself low standards and consistently fails to achieve them"

And there we have it, what started out as someone asking for help, has turned in to an argument.
Its easy to take a quote and use it out of context, which is what the poster above appears to have done.On a roundabout with 3ft barriers ......would that at any time look safe?
im sorry, but where in the OPs post did it mention that they stopped on a roundabout with a 3ft fence?Hi - I got a parking enforcement notice from APCOA Parking Ltd "for the alleged contravention of 02-Dropping off/ Picking up outside of a designated parking area."
I had no idea this would incur a fine (they say there were notices clearly displayed). I was less than 1 minute whilst my cousin crossed the road and got in.
I know the advice is to ignore this but I've never done anything like this, my husband wants to just pay up - can you persuade me/ us we shouldn't?
This thread was started by the OP asking for help as above, where they picked someone up from is irrelavant, they stated that their pasenger crossed the road and they let that pasenger get in their car, just as any other normal human being would.
If you havent got anything constructive to contribute towards the OPs problem maybe it would be better if you posted you theories and thoughts on luton airports road system, and traffic management schemes elsewhere.
Maybe you would like to coment on a simalar case posted on here, this time at doncaster airport see here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/54264467#Comment_54264467
If Mikey, and Wallbash have nothing constructive to add to this then that should be that for this topic, and maybe it should be locked. From the Plain Language Commission:

Before it's locked, I think you should try to put the offensive comments into context? I'm sure it would be no trouble to you.
And I'm sure it was very normal to simply be driving down an access road, with no stopping, and just happen to see someone you know, and offer them a lift. An amazing coincidence, as most people use the correct area instead. Again, a novel twist in phrasing on here. And as MSE always advise, do not park where you shouldn't, and if we can stop someone else making a similar mistake, well worth saying again, in support of the ethos on here as Wallbash started out to.0 -
Oh for the love of God, this thread is soooo boring and irrelevant - mikey72 you keep doing this to threads here which DOES NOT HELP THE OP.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm sure if you read the thread properly, you'll find it was originally Wallbash that got slated, for helping the op to avoid a similar mistake next time they go. I'm sure as you all keep saying educating drivers to park correctly is important, otherwise it will keep happening again and again. So some of us think it is relevant to inform others that obviously missed the vital parking information. Even Trebor has chipped in with advice on where to park correctly. So shouting at me isn't going to help the op, or anyone else to avoid parking incorrectly next time, which I'm sure is what you are striving to achieve.0 -

Thats a big problem with this thread and those posting without knowing the area .Look at Google earth ...........photo's don't lie
Don't take my word for it look at the photo.
The are those who are talking about a 'private road ' But if you look at the evidence , its a Roundabout , east of the Easy Jet sheds. The coach/bus stops to the North . To stop people jumping in and out of the cars on the roundabout , there are 3ft barriers ..........its easy to understand , don't stop on the roundabout or you will get a nasty letter.Oh for the love of God, this thread is soooo boring and irrelevant
Is it boring and irrelevant , do yourself a favour , stop posting
But if we can stop one driver getting 'fined' !! its worth while .
I'm thinking some on this thread are very happy to play the armchair lawyer, makes them feel needed. On the other hand a couple of us would rather drivers used the FREE drop zone or paid the £1.
I can't speak for mikey72 but for myself am willing to keep this thread very firmly alive.to threads here which DOES NOT HELP THE OP.
You help the OP , I am now helping future visitors to Luton Airport

I think some posters on here are less concerned with trying to avoid parking problems, as MSE advise, and are more concerned about rubbing the PPC's noses in it. So no posts should be spent discussing where to park correctly, only posts that take delight in pointing out no one can touch you if you don't. And if you don't fit in, but instead advise where you should park correctly, you will certainly be abused and insulted. I personally would rather not have a stream of demands arrive on my doorstep, if correctly paying a £1 fee avoids it, and hopefully future visitors to Luton will now have the same opportunity after reading this thread.0
