Interesting viewpoint. What is the "right" type of person to fit in on this board?

Easy , one that is an arm chair lawyer , who can only see in B/W and refuses to live in the real world.

Maybe if you man up, admit you keep posting that you do believe it's ok not to pay, and simply park anywhere, you won't have to keep resorting to calling me a troll when I simply post quotes proving you wrong no matter how much you protest.

Would you like to find a post where I have said its ok not to pay and to park anywhere Mikey? I'll give you a few days to find any posts where I have advocated such behaviour, say by midnight on Wednesday 10th July.

As you can see, (or maybe you really can't) it's not the exclusive view with the rest of the world. Some of us actually do believe if a service is provided, it should be paid for.

So you think the "fines" and penalties levied by the PPC's are payment for the services they provide? It looks like you are the one out of step with the rest of the world here, not me.

"The airports are greedy" isn't a great excuse to justify it to the rest of us. Stop in the right place, pay the £1, don't get the ticket, is the MSE way of avoiding the problem in the first place.

So you think it's MSE for PPC's to try and present themselves as legitimate bodies who have the legal right to issue fines and financial penalties?

Sign or no sign , blocking traffic and climbing a 3 ft fence to save a £1
I won't post on other area's , but Luton Airport has its own problems and Just £1 solves it.

Ps Don't bother calling us names , we have been here for years and will continue posting the truth.

It's your opinion that you are posting and nothing more. Please don't forget that.:)

PS £1 has caused far more problems than it has solved.

I'm with Wallbash on this, which I know isn't a popular view with the "park anywhere" brigade here.

Please could you enlighten us as to who the "park anywhere" brigade are within the parking forum, preferably with evidence to show where they have advocated such behaviour.

Parking /stopping in the wrong place is the problem ......solved by paying a £1

People are posting here asking for advice on private parking invoices. Would you please start your own thread on the morality of parking/stopping, paying/not paying and argue the toss there.

Fair comment then, so you are 100% behind Wallbash when he made the statement earlier?

You are in complete agreement, them's the rules, that's what you do if you go to Luton Airport? Until they change the sytem again? Should be an easy "yes" for you.

This is rapidly going off track, the OP made a genuine error by dpoing the right thing and picking someone up from the roadside, on a private road.
THe parking company is now trying to impose an un just and un enforcable penalty upon the original poster (OP)
if the OP is still around, adn hasnet been scared off by all the bickering they should ignore any corespondance with the parking company, as their tickets are un enforcable penalty charges.

As for the positions of roundabouts etc etc at the airport, together with the detail on how to manage traffic in/out then that belongs somehwere else.

Wrong . Its all about roundabouts /inconsiderate parking
If only one reader thinks twice before trying to save a £1 and then gets the letters threatening 'legal' action , this thread will have made a point.

Surly its better to avoid the 'letters' in the first place??

That's the problem. You try to phrase it in parking board speak, while in the real world, the op stopped on a cleary marked no stopping area, outside a large busy airport, avoiding the free dropping off zone, and not paying the £1 for the closer zone.

So long as you try to justify the inappropaite actions, there will always be a requirement for PPC's.
The best, and most MSE way to avoid the charges, and get rid of the PPC's is to stop feeding the need for them, not reinforcing the need for them.
