We are impressed with T's value ground coffee ~ we do like coffee, and this is really cost effective, despite being dearer than instant ( but we did lock away our dear darling senseo), the dishwasher tabs are brillo too, I pour a little value multi surface cleaner into a squirty bottle and add water, it's great.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

The 10p shower gel stuff from MrT is working a treat in a branded sopa dispensing bottle :p As its in the downstairs loo, it's getting a fair bit of use & no-one's said anything yet :shhh: & I've hidden the rest under the sink! The 25p loo cleaner is also an excellent surprise--smells good & really thick...I've got MrA to try next time so I'm hoping it's as good as MrT :o

    Thanx guys!

I bought some Sainsburys basics long grain rice at the weekend and it was very good. Not hugely different to the basmati we normally buy, but this was only 74p for a 1kg bag.

A nice thing about the basics range is that they're not just the lowest price per unit in most cases, but they're also managable size packets. You don't have to buy huge packets to save money. It's much easier for people who don't have a car to bring it home, and you don't need lots of space to store food.

I also like the fruit juice, mozzarella, butter, flour and chocolate digestives.

Not sure about Tesco but I had some Sainsbury Basics Liver Pate the other day and it was perfectly okay. I had it on buttered toast with sliced tomato on top - not sure what it would be like just on its own. Mustn't grumble for 29p though.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Lidls pate is excellent, it is about 60p for a twin pack and tastes like M & S stuff at a fraction of the price.

TV Liver & Bacon Spreading Pate is yummmmm :p & the closest I've found to the continental liver sausage I used to be able to get off the deli counters. V good on cream crackers.
