Has anyone tried any of Farmfoods bulk frozen meat? Especially casserole steak and mince. It's so cheap (£2.50 I think) I can't believe it'll be any good...

Oh, I got some Farmfoods vouchers through the door the other day, odd as we never get things like flyers or free papers out here, was wondering if they were any good. Will have to have a look and try out the casserole steak, my lot love beef in ale (except dd1 who says she won't touch alcohol, so we call hers beef stew ;) )

    Any more farmfoods recommendations?

I like tesco value jaffa cakes, they're yummy! Also most of the tinned value stuff is pretty good, and dd3 thinks that Asda's value spaghetti hoops are the best thing in the world!

oh yes - the value jaffa cakes are yummy! i even prefer them to the posh versions ;)

tinned plum toms are always value in this house. i can't stand the 'endy' bits of the toms you get in the cans, so i just buy the plum toms (which are actually cheaper anyay!) and cut the ends off myself :)

Here in N.Ireland we find Sainsbury's dearer than Tesco's and ASDA.

  • Sorry if mentioned before but Tesco Value wholemeal sliced bread is good - having compared the ingredients with their normal sliced loaf they look exactly the same with slightly less salt in the value one.
