I'm now a convert to the Aldi Siana Moisturising Cream - £1.89 !!!:money:0

Really reducing my budget - from £100 now £28 per week. I buy lots of the smart stuff from Asda, but haven't tried everything yet (obviously!). What I have found good so far:
Smart: Chocolate digestives (32p), can't tell the difference
Tomato Ketchup (28p?),
Butter (50p yesterday!)
Yorkshire puddings
Chips (41p - marvellous!)
Chopped tomatoes
I also picked up some washing powder - small box for 50p - is this any good?
What else is really nice?Thought processes can be managed positively, so that they help you to achieve what you want, rather than hindering your judgement.0 -

Chips 41p? That's ace, I'll get some! I uppose a spud is a spud :T
Smartprice washing up sponges 14p are good in the bathroom, not so good for washing up though.
Smartprice tinned fruit is ok too.
The washing powder, I've tried. I bought it thinking it would be ok for the dog's blankets/towels but I've used it for our washing too.
I'm using my soapnut shells at the moment.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Nettos washing up sponges are great for dishes, and you can throw them in the washing machine loads of times before the abrasive bit goes soft. They're about 35p for 10.0

I didn't buy any but I looked at the sp chips and they were only spuds, veg oil and possibly salt on them rather than some of the more expensive brands that have all sorts of thickeners etc. Has anyone tried them? I will do when I shop next but no freezer space this timePiglet
