    Does anyone know - is there a cheaper Cathedral City about?!? We cannot live without Cathedral City cheese and I have not yet found a cheaper alternative.... Thanks in advance!

    Cathedral city is alway on offer. Just bought it from somerfield for £1.99 for 400g.

    I bought two lots as it was dated until september this year.

    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
    Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:

    Haven't tried it but just got some Tesco branded "Bold" washing powder to save on the pennies. Being careful on what products I buy now due to the [strike]recession[/strike] credit crunch.

    Cathedral City - if you click on each one you can see if they're on offer or where they are cheaper. Doesn't cover Somerfield or Morrisons but they most often have it on offer - sign up for their emails on their websites and you'll never miss another offer!

    Thanks calleyw and Skint_Catt - I do buy it on offer but only from Tesco - I haven't ventured onto mysupermarket.com but have read a few posts containing it in the last few days so will definitely have a look this afternoon! Thanks again! I'm so pleased I don't HAVE to subsitute my favourite cheese! :)

    I tried Smartprice laundry liquid and it did the job well but the smell was too strong for me.

    I have used both and find them as good as some of the well known brands.I have started using a measure for the powder and conditioner instead of just pouring it in.Suprising how much longer it lasts.
