He's absolutely gorgeous. Speaking as a former owner of a 20 yr old and a 19 year old it can be false economy to buy the cheaper cat foods as I'm sure that the little devils can read and mine always refused to eat anything cheap and I always had to throw it away.
just don't add up how much he has cost you so far:D

Now there's a cat who knows he's the boss! Ours is definately Queen of this particular castle - and knows it. Don't they all though! Ours eats James Wellbeloved dried complete fod - pricey enough at £8.99 per sack, but to be fair one sack does last a good 6 - 8 weeks.

As for value products, we also buy the bag of mixed peppers from Tesco, also their Kidney beans, baked beans, chopped tomatoes, porridge oats, rice (plain and basmati) and tuna chunks. All taste absolutely fine, and I wouldn't dream of replacinjg any of them with anything more expensive as I can;t see the point.

We prefer MrT butter to MrS--now someone will come on to say they are both the same:D --& it was the same with their white sliced loaf, but the offspring gave me a BM for Easter/Ma Day so that's not a problem any more!

Lidl's bread flour is excellent & by other people's accounts, just as good if not better than 'proper' stuff.

Have gone off MrT Mature cheddar but liking the Mild; it seems to be on a level with the Irish Medium we used to have.

The offspring were not impressed with MrT loo roll, so I'll give MrS a go, but we're currently on Wilkos quilted that was £2-99 for 9 last week.

I'm afraid that I do still buy Bounty k-roll cuz it gets used for all sorts cuz it is so much stronger than any value.

The biggest problem I have with value pulses, like kideny beans etc, is they insist on putting them in salted, sugared water:mad: I'm trying to wean the offspring off both & it's no good for the pets nose-bags either, so I do have to be a bit careful with a lot of things:o

Last week in Asda, I put through all my colour co-ordinated produce (green and white packaging) at the checkout and Asda own label stuff and then followed it through with four boxes of Whiskas Senior Catfood and a bag of Iams. The operator looked a bit amazed when those arrived in front of her and looked up at me. I smiled back and said 'You can tell where most of the money goes in our house can't you?'. Flaming cat! - I could really cut my budget only for him.

If its any consolation i am the same, i am cutting corners right left and centre food wise but my dogs have the best...... Well its the only food that i have found that doesnt upset their stomach and is 'low residue' so it cuts out the 'emisions' which is a bonus in my book.:D

Tesco Value Cider is now 94p for 2 litres;. It's 4.2% and slightly too dry for me but it's pretty good for the price.
