In Sainsbury's I noticed today that the tinned sponge puddings (syrup and chocolate) are now 48p (were 51p I think).

I like most value range things I have tried apart from the Smart Price strawberry dessert. At 3p I can't really complain - nice to try without breaking the bank! Has a horrible aftertaste.

I find the Smart Price toilet rolls to be not very good as the tissue layers are always off centre but the Sainsburys basic to be pretty good. Tesco Value seems to be similar in quality to Smart Price but at least the tissue isn't off centre. Nevertheless it's not something that really bothers me.

I was feeling a bit lazy yesterday and bough TV chilled lasagne - it was 3 for 2.
Be warned, this was a huge mistake!

I'm hoping to visit a MrA next week-end, but won't be there long enough for a good rekkie around the shelves:p So what would you say are the value items I should be looking for? Fingers crossed, it will be Sunday coming.

I'm going to get some moulds & if the imfamous 3p dessert would make passable lollies?

  • I can recommend the Value Sage and Onion Stuffing mix at 13p per packet. :)

Our guinea pig seemed to prefer the TV guinea pig/rabbit food to many other brands we've tried her on. i can't comment on the nutritional value mind you!
