Tried the following tesco value products:

    Tinned tomatoes
    Dried Spaghetti
    Dried lasagne sheets
    Cream Cheese
    Baby Bath
    Baby Shampoo
    Baby wipes
    Nappies
    Tea bags (bit rank tbh)
    Back Bacon
    All veg
    Orange (delicious and juicy)
    Baked Beans
    Cheese
    Biscuits

All fine and most not any different from the top brands!

I would go for Aldi and Morrisons every time over Tescos. We do use Tescos toiletries but not their food, reason being coming back to this country every few months or so we have noticed that Tescos own brands (Value or otherwise) have gone down the pan taste-wise. I would never buy Tescos meat anymore; last time we were here we found some shards of bone in some mince, (luckily it was me who got it rather than my 9,7 or 3 yo) and we find it is rather high on the gristle front too.

I prefer Tesco Value Tartar sauce to any other brand. Thrown all others away rather than eat them.

Tesco Value Jaffa Cakes taste exactly the same as the well known brand (to me and OH anyway!)
We always buy Value pasta as there does not seem to be any difference to any other dried pasta.
I agree with the earlier post re: Value meats - I find it of poor quality and have been disappointed by it a number of times so don't bother with it anymore ohh and we don't like the value frozen garden peas, they are v.bad.
Tesco Value toaster, Iron and DVD player all doing really well and never given any trouble :j

Tesco peanut butter! I was really surprised, too. Almost no real difference between that and Sunpat.

Don't like their cornflakes though, or rubber gloves (barely last a week), or crackers ... very cheap, but fall apart in my hand before I get any cheese on them.

Sainsbury's chocolate digestive bars: Eighteen for one pound and four pence.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
