Today I have tried the Tesco Value version of angel delight today and at 6p it's a real bargain. No different to the full price angel delight.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

I unfortunatley do not live that close to either Tesco or Asda but when I do go to them I find i tend to prefer the Tesco Value range to the Smartprice although both are perfectly edible!
Value Faves are
Tinned tomatoes
Longlife Juices (great fro making into ice lollies too)
Value fruit and veg (ok I dont buy everything value but if it looks ok i do buy it)
Pasta although prefer the £1 for 3kg pack
yogurt (although children prefer others so will buy whenever on BOGOF)
Flour
Tinned spaghetti
Definate no no's
Toilet Rolls
Beans - im a Heinz snob!!!
Kitchen Roll
Tinned Peaches - Dont know why but theres something different about the flavour.
Im game to give most value things a go -we should do a thread and get everyone to buy a supermarket value product they havent used before a week and report back on it!!!

It's funny how some people use the value loo roll and some people won't use it no matter how much it saves you. I can't see the different in it and considering where you put it I can't see why I should buy the more expensive one. And it's recycled too.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

We used the value loo roll for ages, but recently we found it was getting more and more difficult to detach the stuck-down end from the rest of the roll - you can waste hours in the loo doing this :rotfl: So finally OH had had enough of it and we buy the next one up -Tesco standard loo roll.
I like the value kitchen roll though, but I don't use it for wiping up, just draining very greasy foods.0 -

I have sensitive skin and find that if I use some of the cheapy ones for more than a week, I get sore skin.
Might try and alternate my loo rolls though :rotfl:working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

value loo roll gets my vote - We bought some posh stuff in january as I had visitors and the loo blocked up a couple of weeks later - really really badly - could only be fixed by a man with a van and some jet thingies - coincidence - I think notI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

I bpught a pack of Sainsbury Value Peppers at the weekend because that was all they had left. The two red peppers were fine but the 3 green peppers are horrible - so bitter. Any ideas how to make a bitter pepper more palatable or do I have to bin it (not very OS I know but they are truly awful).0

I don't bother with the value loo rolls - I get Dixcel Kittensoft at my local supermarket - £2.99 for 12.0
