    Hi all

I bought chocolate weetabix for my DD as she like the mini chocolate weetabis and the larger version were on special. But she has now announced that she doesn't like like the larger version

I really don't want to get rid of half a packet that is still sealed so any ideas on what I can do with them - the only idea I came up with was using as a cheesecake base??? Never having made a cheesecake and not too keen on them myself, not sure if this would work and if so what topping should I use.

    Thanks

Wow - just had some of this for after lunch and it's lovely. Must admit that when I looked at the mixture this morning wasn't too sure, but turned out really nice, so thanks for the suggestion :T:T:T

Weetabix Brownies? This is a recipe using plain Weetabix so I reckon you could leave out either the cocoa powder or the chopped chocolate if you're using the chocolate Weetabix.

    4 Weetabix
    4oz sugar
    4oz S/R flour
    2 tbsp cocoa powder
100 grammes chopped chocolate (I use plain)
    1 egg
    4oz melted marge

Break up the Weetabix and mix in the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add melted marge and beaten egg ( I melt the marge on "defrost" in the microwave).
Spread out on a baking tray (I use a deep-sided one and and spread the mixture out to about 3/4 to an inch thick) and bake on 180C/350F for 15 minutes. Leave to cool for 5 mins and cut into squares.

    Hi all

I've looked for ages and can't seem to find what I need so hoping you guys can help.

I have saved lots of the bottom bits of cereal mostly fruit and fibre type stuff. I can't bear eating the scrappy bits as they are but can't bear to throw them out either! I saved tons before and tried to make homemade cereal bars but they all fell apart and I ended up binning them.

Anyone have a foolproof (or savingqueen proof :D) receipe? I tried adding some to crumble toppings but DH didn't like it.

If DH finds my secret stash he will want to throw them out - there might be a cereal killer on the loose...sorry....I tell appalling jokes :rotfl:

    thanking you all in advance...

    sq:)

I used to use them in place of some of the oats in flapjacks. I can't remember the quantity but it was something like 1/3 of the oats I replaced with cereal crumbs. They were quite little fine crumbs though. Cornflakes gave them a lovely flavour.

When you open a new packet of cereal, why not put a bit less in the bowl and add about a tablespoon of the bits from the bottom of the box to it and mix in. I do this and can't tell I'm eating the scrappy bits.
