I don't know about the cake as I am a chocolate girl myself, but the brownies are very good

I would use part weetabix crumbs part oats in the flapjacks. Some people make flapjacks with muesli that has wheat flakes as well as oats in, so it's the same thing.0

Well I have used a flap jack recipe and just replaced the oats with crumbs .... it seems really dry, haven't tried it yet as it's cooling so I think perhaps Tish's idea is a good one to do half crumbs and half oats ??
I still have 150g of crums so may try again tomorrow. Just waiting for kids to finish their bathand I'll report back after our sampling session
Thanks again

I would try substituting some of the oats in your favourite flapjack recipe with crumbs
More ideas for you in this thread; I'll merge this later.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
well it was very yum but too dry - I think it would be too weird with oats as well so I am going to stick with just crumbs but am going to try again tomorrow with slightly more wet ingredients

but I will have a look at the recipe
I've not made this myself - but my sister makes it all the time (she bakes it for her neighbours too). Apparently it is a bit like malt loaf and is delicious. HTH"Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

Yes, I agree: I've made the Weetabix cake and do think it's very much like a malt loaf. The Weetabix brownie recipe I found on here is really delicious and much nicer than the cake imo0

Hi all
I have one and a half bags of Tesco Tropical Fruit Oat Cluster cereal that no-one seem to like for breakfast.
I think I could (should) be able to make granola / cereal bars with them but have no idea what I would mix it with or the quantity. Do I cook it or let it 'set' in the fridge ???? Any ideas welcome please
This is the stuff

Put it in muffins, just make a plain muffin mix and put a few handfuls of the granola in.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
