They go like Weetabix. Not that there's anything wrong with Weetabix. If you want Weetabix.
I've found that saving bread, cream cracker and cereal crumbs in a container in the freezer has been useful. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

You can use the crumbs of cereal for coating fish or meat in the same way as you might coat them with breadcrumbs.
You could make a savoury crumble using some of the cereal with breadcrumbs and some crushed nuts and cheese mixed in.

Melt some marshmallows in a pan and add the mixture including some chopped sultanas, dates, orange rind or anything else you like then spread into a shallow baking tray and allow to cool.
You can slice it into bars/biscuits as it is or top off with a layer of chocolate before slicing0 -
I had this with crunchy nut cornflakes, we bought some value chocolate and made crispy cakes with them. Wouldn't matter if you have a mixture, would work in the same way. I'm also using up OOD chocolate Ready Brek in brownies at the moment, as DD has gone off it . I'd probably incorporate them into the crumble topping for a fruit crumble.
Or possibly put them out for the birds.
I do rather agree with Journalgirl in a way though - it's only me that has cereal in our house, and the tail end of the bran flakes just gets put into my bowl.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

This is what I do (becauuse I don't like soggy cereal from the crumbs).
Replace up to half the flour with cereal crumbs and reduce sugar if cereal is sugary. Makes very nice crumble and a change from the usual.0 -
I think they'd go in my dogs' bowls____________________________________________

WOW loving all the replies, thanks for the ideas they're great.
Just to answer why I have saved them. There's 5 of us here so I buy a lot of cereal. If a box gets lost at the back of the cupboard, the kids say it's dry and gone off. Or sometimes I buy value cereal and no-one will touch it. I should have been clearer, it's not the dust from the bottom, its proper cereal but probably a bit stale!
Think I'll try the rocky road/flapjack type thing. If that fails then it's going to the dog0
