How can they pay me DP couple rate,? i have asked them and they said they will pay me a single rate as the partner has no recourse to public funds.

Ask it to go to a DM if they dont give it you.
I process I.S you will get the couple rate DP....
    Single PA but couple DP

are you worried about your council tax, ie your partner has moved in and you have lost your single allowance supplement,
on I.S you get full HB and CT benefit so if you get a new higher award you will get all or most of it paid anyway.
A couple say on I.S next door to you, he was claiming for himself and her on I.S, would get all his CT paid,
You should be the same I would imagine
you maybe right this is the problem i need them to explain to me that i am NOT claiming any extra for my partner having no recourse to public funds, and they dont seem to be able to tell me, i'm trying to find out if anyone really knows how this works?

When we add a partner to a claim who has no recourse to public funds and the customer has DP then we pay
single rate £71 and couple rate DP £43.35.
    it is correct :)

Thats not what i have here from welfare rights, shorley if i tell them i dont want this they will not pay it? i mean if they pay the Income support rate a single rate surley they can pay the others single rate as i was told? are you sure they will do this? as it does not make sence for them to do this:(

When your partner joins you household you will have to tell them and your SDP will cease but you will get couple rate DP. you are entitled to it.

You could say I dont want it but I cant see why you would but its up to you.

With regards to your HB, even if they take the single person supplement from you, you should still pay little or no council tax as you are on an Income Based Benefit. And entitled to full help

This should be a happy time for you, you are getting married next month :)

I think things will work out fine

thanks, it's just with a partner being here with no recourse to public funds i carnt take benefits for them, it has to be a single claim, welfare rights said they would do this because if i took the cuples rate my partner has then taken public funds through me, if i have problems i will go back to welfare rights and get them to deal with this for me.
