  • I can't add anything other than hoping that if someone makes a decision you are not at all penalised in the future. I took some flack off a similar poster but they had thousands of pounds in income.

I really hope it works out - totally refreshing to see someone so genuine. Your partner is lucky
Thanks for your reply i will call them again see if i can find out
    thanks for your help
    best wishes

The DP is put onto the claim as a clerical component, it has to be put on by the processor, If you request not to be paid the couple DP but to stick with the single, I cant see a reason why this cant happen,
nobody can force you to take what you dont want....
    Good Luck
I see your point now :)
when you ring tell them you have read the DMG yourself, and you know you should be entitled to the couple rate DP but when you submit your A2 you dont want it,
at the back of the form there is a note box you can state this in here, if they input it ring up and ask it to be removed.
    If thats what you want
Its like when people on I.S have DLA they chose not to tell the DEPT because they dont want the exra premiums for some reason.

You have been very helpfull and i will do as you said and put this on the form, hoping they accept this, i see your point and your so right, but because of a partner who cannot take any public funds and this also includes me taking any extra the U.K.B.A have to see that i have not claimed any extra benefit for my partner living with me, this is the rules and if we break them, they will not be allowed to stay, one last question sir, can i kindley ask them that i also wish for the single rate on the Income support, with all the confusion i only asked about the premiums, thank you once again and best wishes for you help and advice..... your a star sir.;)

You are not just frustrated and trying to get sorted.

I am no expert I have just come across this before.
People from Welfare Rights provide an excellent service, they are cross benefit trained and sometimes know a lot about all the benefits, but you cant expect them to know everything, they are human.
When you ring the contact centre to be fair if they dont know the answer and send a memo, for a trained I.S person to ring you, for them to tell you the wrong information is bad. But again they are only human.
To be honest I amazed to read that if you are subject to no recourse to public funds you cant take what you are entitled to but I am not trained in immigration so I cant comment.

I dont know who to advice you to see, I would have thought if one govement department awarded you something then surely the other one couldnt punish you for taking it.

    But who knows.
Hope you indeed get it sorted

When you send your form in they cant put your partner on the system because they have no NINO. So you are paid £71 rate the same, single
Usually they put a marker in called a clerical component, this pays the couple DP.
State I dont want to claim the couple DP, just my single DP and my Enhanced DP.
this should make you recieve the £116.00 ish welfare right said you would get
    you will lose your SDP.

    Hi
Thanks for your reply and time, i will make sure i tell them i want the single rate, welfare rights said they should know what this means and pay you the single rate so fingers crossed again, but i will be sure to write in that box on the form you said to write it in.
    thanks again best wishes

Tell them (be above board) but it is disregarded as under the limit.
