Just curious - how old are some of the products you use? I have an Origins Charcoal Face Mask I have had for about 12 years! I got it free on a plane as the tv wasn't working but I only used it once. Wasn't really bothered about face masks back then and it's been languishing in my drawer ever since. Do you think it would be safe to use still?

As long as it isn't sunscreen, I think most things are still worth trying, at least once :)

I have a Clinique face mask and an Arden one that are a similar age - they are still fine/in use. If anything smelt really off then I wouldn't use it. You could always do a patch test on your arm.

I have a mini success to report - I went out (hurrah!) and the only toiletry-related thing that I bought was a copy of Red. I had a slight wobble in Waitrose as Korres shower gel was on 3-for-2 but I resisted. I feel really good :D

I'm hoping for at least one UU later but I've been thinking it would die over the last few days but it just keeps going! :wall:

Another UU to report - 400ml bottle of pantene repair and protect shampoo. WIBA? I already have 3 400ml bottles in my stash and once those are gone I might buy it again I'm not sure. It's a good shampoo but really I need a shampoo for coloured hair.

My Aussie conditioner is due to be finished soon too. Probably got 1-2 uses left in it.

It's great - after 10 outs I can see some room developing in my toiletries cupboard. I haven't seen any space in there for many moons and it's a good feeling.

    Well done!! :T:T:T

That is a fabulous start

The feeling of space/paring down is the best :D I have dreams of being an elegant woman with a small collection of HG toiletries/make up and no more clutter :rotfl:

Feeling virtuous atm, went into town and resisted Red Magazine, reasoned that whilst great freebie, I have a drawerful of high end skin care calling for me to use it, having gone all through it yesterday helped. (Feel brow - must be sickening for something:rotfl:)

I did determine that a local gift shop carries a reasonable range of L'Occitane, so I can just buy 1 eco-refill there for £12 if I so decide.

So Day 4 NO SPEND, hope Glamour is in town tomorrow, ears pricked up at mention of Neom freebies, so just counted handcream stash,:eek::eek::eek::eek: 18 bottles and tubes, 12 of them full size and 7 in use between handbag, knitting bag, camper, kit, bathroom and bedroom etc.:o

In my defence, I garden and knit and people know I hate hands being rough, so i is an easy present to give me, one friend gave me 3 last year alone.

I am feeling very proud of myself after this weekend, lots of gorgeous shops where I went and I came home with nothing. This has to be a first!

I did received a LiB sample box today with some TRESemme samples, a Sasy and Savy hand and nail repair creme (not heard of this before) and some Elemental Herbology cell food. I'm going to have fun giving these a go.

    Hurrah! That's a great achievement :T:T:T

I think that little treats are the way to stick to the challenge in the long run (for me, at least). The LiB box is only £1.50, isn't it? I hope that you enjoy your new things :)

:T:T:T Much better than me! :rotfl: I'm going to pass on Glamour mag though. I love Balance Me but I have enough. I was too curious about REN to resist the little set.

My ears pricked up at the Neom freebie as well! :rotfl: *Goes off to count her handcream stash and come to her senses*

Well done to all those who have resisted the urge today - I wish I could say the same - I blame my mother!!

I think I shall try the face mask on my arm as suggested - don't really want to get a rash or anything on my face and I do have sensitive skin.

I got the small LiB box last week but O2 only charged me £1.33 rather than £1.50 for some reason! I will have to wait a month now to see if they get anything new.

I may well pop to the newsagents tomorrow or Friday to have a look at the magazine. Quite fancy the Balance Me stuff and the magazine is fairly cheap.
  • I am so happy right now. I had 3 boxes of products under the bed and i know that I will never use them so I didn't bother listing them in my stash list. Well I have sold them all!!! I think there were 75 items in total !!! So not only do i get to clear out, but I can now put that money onto my handbag purchase as I have officially reached over 400 UU's. :):)
    Oh happy sunny day :)

Here are my UU for today

Vo5 Cherish my Colour Conditioner 500ml WMBA nice enough, but not sure it helps colour last

    Ins from Red magazine
