(((hugs))) CCStar and anyone else in need of one, no advice to give, as my brain is mashed!!!!

Catznine - no snow in Sheffield, it's switching between blue skies and sunshine and dark grey clouds and snow-showers but nothing is lying and the showers don't last long. I'd suggest making sure you come in on the big roads (M1, a57 etc) though as I've seen some cars coming down from High Peak side with loads of snow on them!!

Have had a few hours sleep but don't want to have too much else I won't sleep tonight!! Done nothing today except battle into town to hand my essay in, then battle back home again! Going to have a mooch over to the fridge soon to see what we have in!!

Thanks for all the well wishes :)

    BUT! *RANT ALERT*

I told the family that I would only cook nice meals if the kitchen was cleared of all washing up so I would be able to get on with cooking straight away.

I had many years of being a single parent to two ravenous (maybe I mean ravening :)) boys. This has always been the house rule and as they live for their food this is one battle I could always win. I hope things settle down and they get the kitchen sorted for you.

afternoon to all, looking like it might snow again here tonight. There was snow on my car at 6.30 this am but it soon disappeared.
Have persuaded DH to collect DD from nursery so I can make a vege lasagne for tea without 'help':D
need to try and do a quick clean around the bathrooms but DD (3yo) is good at helping with that-give her an e cloth and she can dry the bath!!
anyway best get on and not stay on here while DH is out
    hugs all round if needed

    Afternoon all!

Hugs and best wishes to those who need/want them.

Had a mornings supply and now I'm relaxing... can't do much more as earlier I got up from the sofa but didn't realise that my foot had been asleep... I twisted my ankle and now it and my foot are sore!

So doesn't look like I'll be going to Guides tonight as it needs a bit of a rest.

Going to do an easy dinner of canneloni and cheese sauce, have jam roly poly in the freezer too so might cook that... tis the weather for stodge, am so cold!! Have a blanket round me and am cuddled up with the pup on the sofa!

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

Happy birthday to soba :j :j

I had a lovely birthday yesterday, with friends at a rugby match. We nearly get to the match because half way there, I said to DH "Have you got the tickets?". The car came to a screeching halt and turned round.............. We got there in the end. The hail/snow/sleet didn't help half way through the match, but we managed to make a mad dash for the bar. :D

I couldn't really relax anyway, as I had an interview for a teaching post for maternity cover. I'm not too sure whether I wowed them. Or not. I was honest as to the reasons why I left my previous job, but I'm not sure whether they will want to take me on as being a bit of a liability. I'll either find out later tonight or tomorrow morning. If not, then there are a couple of other job interviews that my agency has got lined up for me.

I didn't get the job that I went for last Thursday. Well, I presume I didn't. We were told that we'd be contacted by 9pm that night either way. I didn't and nor did the other bloke that the agency sent (there was one other lady who was well known to the school that got it). When the supply agency 'phoned to get feedback, she was brushed off and told that they were "far too busy" to talk to her! Oh well, it's their loss and I definitely won't be applying there again if a job comes up, especially if they're so rude as to not give feedback!

This afternoon was "interesting" to say the least. I had just over 1.5hrs with a class and they were terrible. Their class teacher told me that they had been to visit a Hindu Mandir that morning, so they were a little "excitable". Understatement of the year ;) What shocked me more was that some parents had asked/said that their children would not go for this visit for racial reasons. I won't repeat what had been said to me, but needless to say I thought that that sort of ignorance and level of racism was lessening, especially in such a multi-cultural city as Peterborough. I was sickened.

Unfortunately, I've got some washing up to do. I've been trying to avoid it, but the time is near to just get on with it!

    Bye for now.

Hiya not long back from asda, did weekly shopping, got on ok at my cbt, had a good session so feel good about that, back in 2 weeks for another one.

Snowing on/off again but not lying much.

Have to do a card for mum later, will have to think what to put on it as it will be a sympathy card.

    Hugs to all that need

Has anyone sold any books through amazon????

I have just sold a book for £8, they added £2.75 for P & P and then took off a lump for selling which means I will get less than £7 after I have paid the postal charges, what a rip off..... will not be selling anymore books through them would rather take the risk on ebay at least their charges are reasonable and you set your own rate for P & P.GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR.............
