(((big hugs))) to CCstar - we have a teenage boy who is also useless with money so you have my sympathy!

It is the lies as well and his general not caring attitude to any member of our family.

Sorry to hear about your son too

Extra big hugs to tired mum and csarina:grouphug: It sounds like your both having a rubbish time of it. I suggest a hot bubble bath and chocolate-well known to lower blood pressure and release happy hormones!!;)

Seems minor in comparrison but the last hour and a half has been spent trying to wake up my 3yo (she fell asleep in the car on the way home form nursery!), then when she woke up she was so tired she wanted to go straight to bed but with lots of whinging and when she is that cross only mummy's cuddles can fix it, but she is now back asleep again, in bed, lets hope she stays there for the night cos I'm tired too.

just cooking the lasagne I made earlier so plan to eat then an early night, hope tomorrow is a better day for everyone concerned

    Hi everyone.
I had a busy but lovely mother's day yesterday. We had a special family service at church and all the mothers/ladies were given bunches of daffodils from the children.
As my mum had been over for a meal on Saturday my DH took the kids to see his mum, so I had a few hours to myself, which was nice!:rotfl: DH and the kids gave me a lovely selection of gifts and we scoffed the chocs last night!
Today I've done all of the weekly food shopping and the kids have had their friends around for tea. I'm off out again in twenty minutes as I've got a meeting at church to go to.
    Have a good evening.

  • Oh heavens, it's like meltdown city on here. Hugs and virtual chocolate to everyone who needs them. I think I may have remembered something which may explain why we are all so hacked off. I think, and don't quote me on this, that astrologically something is going backwards which is causing much conflict and confusion - I give you the Sindy/Scooch fiasco on Saturday night (how high can that Hawkins bloke screech - reminded me of a load of cats....). So there it is, my 4'penneth. Can't find the earlier sick note to send to my manager and I know I saw OH with it and told him to copy it as I was in bed - what he's done with it nobody knows. It's probably waiting to be posted from his glove compartment. So my last sick note that work have ran out on 01.03, the one from 01.03 - 08.03 hasn't arrive with them and cut-off date for the wages is 15th so guess how much pay I'm going to have this month - how about 1 week's worth........and of course with DH having to go up to Glasgow he's not been able to do the admin job he had has he. Pantry living here we come. I don't ask much in life but I really thought that at gone 40 I wouldn't be fretting about whether or not I can afford the postage to write to my penpals this month or not.... Still, although our problems are very "ME" specific at least we don't have to endure what we kept seeing on Comic Relief - poor Ant I felt like I just wanted to give him a big hug - bless. Whenever I feel sorry for myself I have a rootle through my late Mum's needlework stuff (and laugh at the pictures on the knitting patterns!), a rootle through my needlework stuff (do you see a theme here?), a read of a baking book and remind myself that I do sleep in a bed at night and not a doorway. I think it was Kenneth Williams who said that his Dad said to him once that when you go to sleep at night you should ask yourself if you've been unkind that day and also to list all the things that you have that other's haven't. Wise words from a man who played the voice of a talking television.....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
